Pay the MOST attention to the advice of someone who has built that same bodypart, but was not genetically gifted with development there.

For example, if a guy has big hamstrings, and has always had big hamstrings.... or if they grew very easily when he began training, he probably isn't the best person to ask about how to build them if they are lagging on you. He didn't have to try to come up with any unique or inventive techniques to make them grow. He trained, and they grew.

However, I guarantee you that this guy will get more questions in the gym about how to build hamstrings than anyone else.

The same is true for any body part.

Chest has always grown very easily for me...and EVERY single week in the gym someone asks me how I built a big chest.

Although I try to give them the best advice, telling them what I did to make my chest grow may not work for them because I didn't have to try very hard there....pretty much every thing I did for chest worked.

I don't have the biggest legs or delts, but I have made HUGE progress there over the years. I could give MUCH better advice to a hard gainer on delts or legs because I have lived with that same problem and fought through it.

Moral of the story.....often the guy with the biggest arms is not the best person to ask about how to make them grow.

LOL. Chest is the ONLY one that responds to training easily on me.

I have to work hard for everything else too. Arm size happens to be a real tough one for me....

i believe that with pretty much all the arm muscles, isolation is best in moderation, ive heard this from many, many people. i desperately wanted bigger forearms at 10 3/4", and someone told me to stop isolating them so often, i grew 1/2" in 3 weeks. i think most of us should apply this to our training methods, like either have a few weeks ever couple months where we focus even more on compound lifts. im going to try just like 1 week a month, i wont add extra isolation for arms, but will add different things in its place, like a few more sets for calves, or more often, more shrugs, that kind of thing, and the same thing with forearms, ill only isolate them every like 3 weeks.
