Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 32 | Wassup!!! ... It's my turn to suggest a few topics.. so I'm gonna try to pick thyngs we can all relate to... Thys week's topic is - When is enough, enough?? I've been working out, more off than on for the last 16 years... I finally got serious about it in December... I started at 155 and reached a high of 193... I used to get questioned about why I wanted to workout... My ex gyrlfriends used to say - "Don't get too big!!" ... and compare me to guys in bodybuilding magazines lyke Flex, Muscle & Fitness, Ironman, Muscular Development International & WWE Wrestlers... "Please don't get that big... I lyke you the way you are now!" ... Hahaha.. Notyce I said they're ex-gyrlfriends... ... Nevermynd I'd put on 40 pounds of weight, (clean bulk - more muscle than fat) - during our tymes together... As I gained more & more weight, they kept saying the same thyng... "Don't get too big." ... What they failed to understand is that in my eyes, I'm styll small... I don't thynk I'll ever be big enough... My current gyrlfriend looks thru my magazines and watches Ronnie Coleman's Redemption Video with me & she has but one question... "Baby, if you lyft weights why aren't you that big yet?" ... She'll wake me up or if I'm playing video games, she'll say - "Baby, isn't it tyme for you to eat?" ... I thynk I'm lucky... But the gyrls at my gym were saying, "If you get any bigger, you're gonna be scary! You look fyne now, just maintain it." ... Why should I bust my arse in the gym if I just want to stay the same??? I'm gonna either gain weight or lose weight... Bulk or Cut... I don't thynk I can ever be too big... If so, I'm willing to fynd out when I thynk I'm too big... Which may be extreme since I have currently don't have any plans to ever compete... For those losing weight, I thynk the same rules may apply... If folks say, "Oh, you look great." ... Does it make you want to lose more weight.. or stay where you are?? Bulking or cutting... My question for thys week is.. When is enough, enough for you & why?? ... Let us know if you're bulking or cutting.. Your starting weight, current weight & target weight.. or bodyfat goal, if cutting... Also, what do you say when you have these conversations with your family/friends.. Peace..~G

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 13 | im not that big myself but i do get this a lot at home and at school. thhe lady that runs that gym at school calls me an addict, well waht the **** is the big deal about that, its something good. myself and bobthepotato always bitch her off . for whem in bulking when girls say im getting 2 big, i tell them it isnt for them and you have no choice anyways. ill give them what i have, they hold no valid opinion on my lifting. as well i have determined that girls like boys and women like men. someday these girls will realize that they need to start dating the men :P. parents always ask me why im trying to get bigger, its such a waste of money on clothes etc. i have nothing to say to them, i jsut keep going on with my own thing and i guess they respect it now(ish?) :P my friends think its great that i am doing this, they respect my wishes to compete in the future and urge me on. if someone doesnt like it, i seperate myself from them, all the negativity just makes think about what if im wrong, and i dont want that. and when im cutting which lasts about 3 days to 2 weeks (unless i get really hard core about it, it will last about 4-6 weeks) , (i personally hate cutting) peopel are glad, more or less my mom for not having to buy me a shit load of food anymore.ALL in all i cant see my self stopping lifting until it truly become a hazzard to my health, which is if i get crippled from it :P. i will never seperate myself from some form of exercise.

| Mushroom Cloud Laying.... | There is never too much in my eyes. But then again the most I have ever weighed was a ripped 165. I started out at 105. I want to get to about 200 sometime. But I am not in a huge rush, but we will see. As long as you are happy that is all that matters.

| Pro Stature | I don't think anyone can simply maintain a certain look forever. If you're using the same weight, the same exercises, the same routine, and just going through the motions year after year, you're going to end up quitting altogether. And then what good are you? Anybody who really loves hitting the weights and building a great body could never be satisfied with their size, their vascularity, their strength. Because if you're satisfied with a certain look, then it's pretty obvious that you're not lifting for yourself but for attention from other people. Personally I can't imagine ever being satisfied, I'll keep pushing the envelope until my body can't handle it anymore.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 10 | Enough is when one will be able to tell from 20 yards away your a big guy, when you wear a shirt 1 size too large for you. Enough is when the regular idiots in the gym start to give you the respect that doesnt come with being infinitely wiser than the rest of the musclehead trainers. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 57 | It is a good question. I have worked out off and on my entire adult life. Mostly "off" in the latter half of my life. I got serious about lifting after gaining 16 lbs of fat when I quit smoking 16 months ago. At that time, my goal was to get into good physical shape. I had no real muscle size goals, I just wanted to lose fat and "tone" up. I am not real big and may not be able to get real big at my age. I seem capable of putting on 1 -2 lbs of muscle per month. I am sure there is some limit to that. With clothes on, most people can see by my chest and shoulders that I am "different". When I am shirtless or in tank tops I notice people staring or giving me "the once over". Older men scrutinize critically and older woman approvingly. My two sons 17 and 25 think I am "huge". They are both ectomorphs. Both are athletic. The youngest is a soccer player and my oldest is into hiking and rock climbing every chance he gets. They approve of my new lifestyle. My wife is lean, muscular and very low bf. She is an alpha type female, very competitive. She is trying to keep up. hahahaha. To answer the question, I don't know. I think a really ripped and rippled 200 lbs might be possible by this time next year. After that, it is God willing. ![]() Currently, I am maintaining (eating the same calories that I burn each day). I am going to switch to a ZigZag type diet next week. I will eat at maintenance or above 2 days per week and 500 calories below maintenance 5 days per week in an attempt to shed a few more lbs and lean up a little more. *
