Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | here's the review i wrote earlier on the old bars: Taste: 10/10 I feel guilty every time I eat one of these because it tastes just like a gooey cookie. I never noticed any peanut butter flavor, but the chocolate flavor is very strong and it tastes awesome. i now crave these bars, and i'm having to hide them from myself because i only have enough left to last me through the Auburn/LSU game tomorrow. Ingredients: 9/10 the protein blend is wpi, mpi, wpc, and mc. no soy, and no hydrolized collagen crap. the fat blend is from peanut butter, almond butter, sunflower butter, and sesalean; not stuff like fractionalized palm kernal oil. carbs come from honey, maltitol, oats rolled, whole grain oats, glycerin low dextrose equivalen corn syrup, brown rice syrup, pumpkin, and sweet potato. not the greatest looking list, but with 42 grams of carbs, 4 g fiber, and 7g sugar it's not too bad. at least it's not all from sugar alcohols (which are very effective laxatives) and malto. Macronutrients: 7/10 21 grams of fat, 42 grams of carbs, and 30 grams of protein. the fat is rather high for this bar, but at least it's not from horrible sources. protein and carbs are pretty much standard. of course the perfect bar would be something like 10-15 grams fat, 50 grams of carbs, and 60 grams protein, but this bar will do. Final Thoughts:the best taste and best ingredients of any bar i've ever eaten or read about. new taste: 9.5 out of 10 tastes almost the same, but not as sweet and a little more peanut buttery. it's still awesome, but i don't crave it like i did the others. I will say that they are more solid and do not get quite as gooey as the others do. of course melting is only a problem if you like in the south where there's a ****ing 9 month summer. pumping spice taste: 10 out of 10 this stuff is awesome. moist and scrumptious, and very tastey. sweet, but not sugary sweet. has a noticable cinamon spice flavor; doesn't have a smooth pumpkin taste like pumpkin pie. at the O, vanessa (dvsness) said that she microwaves them for a few seconds. this is a wonderful idea. it definately tastes like desert, but doesn't make you a fatass! ![]()
