I tried Steel Bars in the past and never really liked the taste of them. I saw that they make a product called Rivets which are little balls about the size of a pea which is basically just like their bars. I decided to give them a try to see if I could deal with the taste since they are SO inexpensive.

I was amazed at the taste of the Rivets. I tried the Peanut Butter Crunch and loved it. I wouldn't say that they filled me up but it gave me 16 grams of protein. The consistancy was almost like eating candy. It was crunchy and had an outside layer of peanut butter with a crunchy middle.

Rivets worked great for me when I was in a pinch for something to snack on but didn't want a huge bar and didn't have a protein shake on me. These easily fit in my bag or in my car that I could grab inbetween college classes or when I was on the run between jobs.

I would recommend this product to anyone (see information below) who is looking for a snack that you can easily take wherever you go and are in a pinch for some protein and extra calories. I would rate this product 9 out of 10.

*09/23/2005 - Unfortunately, this product has been discontinued by ABB. If you can find these anywhere, I would recommend getting them though. They are very good! I am not sure why ABB stopped making them... They sold very well at my gym.*
