ON's Gold Standard Rocky Road Review

Bought a 2.5lb of this stuff at GNC (after searching through 4 GNC's for it... wanted to taste it myself before I order a 10lb bag online) and tried it out immediatly upon arriving home!

Mixability: 9.5/10 - This mixed extremely easily with 16oz of water. I mixed it in a shaker. No particles left over, clean and consistent, just a little itty bitty bit of graininess, otherwise it'd be a 10/10

Taste: 9/10 - Some complain that this product is too sweet. I, however, love sweet food so I ofcourse found this product GREAT. I could see it getting tiresome eventually, but it would take me at least 5lbs to get tired of it. Excellent stuff, sweet chocolate with a little sweet marshmellow hint.

Price: 9/10 - A 50lb bag of ON's Gold Standard costs a mere 52.99, brining the price per lb of protein to only 5.30. While you can find cheaper, it is almost always 100% whey protein concentrate, whereas ON has a great protein blend that includes isolate. Most definitly worth the cash.

Overall: 9.25/10 - This is a very high rating for me. A 10 would be orgasmic, so this is pretty danged close! I will DEFINITLY be buying some of this for my next protein stock-up. Sorry ***********.com!

Looks good, I have not yet tried the rocky road flavor, but I've heard many good thing from it.

i got sick of it real quick and i only bought a 2lb tub. it also has a nice chemical/artificial taste to it. however i would buy it again.

i gave it favorable review also. taste pretty good. i got sick of it shortly after the review lolz.

I agree with the review except the mixability. I found mine to be very chunky even after shaking in a shaker cup for a solid 25 seconds or so. I'll be trying Champion Whey next to see if it tastes and mixes any better. I'll post reviews here.

I agree with everything! Only I NEVER get tired of the flavor!!!!!!!!

I've already eaten 10lbs and I have 15 more pounds left

I just bought some more and I really like it. I think i got a bad batch or they changed the formule back when it first came out. It had a terrible chemical/artificial taste. I am really pleased with it now.
