In addition to the PurplEAA Complex™, Controlled Labs has also added the PurplEndurance Complex™ which, in my opinion, sets this product apart from other EEA and BCAA supplements. What really fires me up most are the components of Beta Alanine and Citrulline Malate, which I have had experience in using. Both these substances have been given endless great reviews in many forms through many other products, but its addition in a EEA/BCAA product astounded me. Effects: 9/10 I have used Batch 1 in the past with great results. Increased energy and endurance were surprisingly noticeable through morning cardio, where I used Purple Wraath most frequently. I was dieting a bit at the time to rid myself of some fat tissue that accumulated, and the muscle loss was very limited than to what I expected. I felt I gained some LBM during my time of dieting, and I can attribute some of the muscle sparing to my use of Purple Wraath. Of course my diet was on spot and my training was still as intense as I could have made it, but the small addition of Purple Wraath made an awesome difference in my results. Again I thank Controlled Labs for putting together the two worlds of Endurance and Anabolism. Solubility: 6/10 As soon as you mixed Purple Wraath with water, some of its contents dissolved. Many small clumps formed and floated to the top of the drink creating chalky taste. However, if set for about 15 minutes, the small clumps would eventually dissolve making the texture much cleaner. Cost: 6/10 I think Purple Wraath is a pretty expensive product. At around 50 dollars at most retailers, I would only buy it if I had extra money laying around. Obviously most of us don't, so I would only recommend it to people who have extra cash for their cutting stack after their fat burners and such. The Taste Test Batch 1: 2/10Mixed with about 8 ounces of cold water... Absolutely awful! I couldn't stand the taste of it. Tasted like Tylenol chewables as many people have mentioned in the past. It had a very bad after taste that lasted a couple hours after ingesting. The only reason why I kept at it is because I spent 50 bucks on it. I was definitely not going to purchase another tub of it just because of the horrid taste. Batch 2: 8/10 Holy crap CL what did you do!? You took the taste, turned it around, swapped out the Tylenol chewables, and mixed in some great stuff! The taste is totally rid of the Tylenol, and starts off sweet and leaves a small after-taste which is actually quite enjoyable. I am pretty angry that I did not get to use this batch over batch 1 which I choked over every day. Great job CL on the taste turnover. Overall: 7/10 | |
