Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 5 | After one bottle of Body Octane with no creatine products and focusing on cardio with the secondary goal of preserving LBM and strength, the following are my opinions: Timing: 30-40 min. pre-workout seems to be the best time to take BO. I start to feel the niacin flush after about 20 min. and get some descent energy soon thereafter. at around 30-40 min. my muscles feel charged, yet relaxed and ready to go. Taste/Mixability: Great taste, kind of like a sweet tart. I have mixed it with water and Gatorade (berry) and in all cases, it tastes fantastic. Dissolving is good, but if you let it set, powder will collect on the bottom of the mixer. I generally use 12-16 oz. liquid. Recovery: Fantastic. I have done triathlon training of this nature in the past and it hurts to get up in the morning. With BO, I have found that my muscles are no more sore than normal trainign, which says a lot since I am pushing them to an extreme level. I still have the energy and endurance for each subsequent workout. Energy: Recently, due to work and personal obligations, sleep has been at a premium. But even with the general lack of sleep, I feel energized throughout the day. Pump: The pump I have had during lifitng has bee great... sometimes it almost feels like too much of a pump. This is very interesting for me because I have never responded well to "pump" products in the past. Strength: Strength has been holding up well during my workouts. I do not feel like I have lost anything from the moderate baseline I set for myself in the beginning. Other Oberservations: Sweating has been increased in all my workouts, cardio and weights. Aerobic and anaerobic performance has been increased, I have to pace myself for training because freuqently I will finish and feel like I could do the workout again. I have also felt somewhat of a thermo effect throughout the day too, a general increase in heat. It is a nice warm feeling.[/quote] |
