Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 128 | While I was letting my hamstring recover, I did 2 upper body workouts that I didn't log.... good workouts regardless. I did log last night's workout Tuesday Aug 7, 2007 Deadlift 100 x 5, 5 120, 140, 160, 190 x 2 200, 220, 250, 260 x 1 270, 265, 265 x 0 (1st time I tried 265 I was just a couple inches away from lockout - my grip was giving very fast though) 240 x 1 DB Shrugs 55, 75, 85, 85, 85 x 8 Front Squats 100 x 5 (3s pause at bottom) 120 x 4 (3s pause at bottom except last rep) 120 x 5 (no pause) BB Push Press - Didn't write down warm-up 120 x 1 120 x 4 (powercleaned from floor for 1st rep) Single Leg Calf Raises 30 on each side Great workout... new deadlift record of 260 and I barely missed 265. Last time I did deads was in April... I weighed 163ish and did 210 x 6. After not working out for a while, I'm now about 20lbs lighter yet stronger. I remember being this weight a year ago and getting a good deadlift workout with 1 working set of 115lbs. My pressing strength has suffered in general, but I also set a PR for BB Push Presses. Time to get those front squats back up! |
