Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | I hate leg day. I hate leg day with the power of a thousand suns. I did quite possibly more squats than I've ever done before. We've been REALLY lax about leg day, always having excuses about not going, but last night we finally did. We had to cut it short, as we did have plans to meet up with some friends, but we did get in squats and part of the SL deadlift workout, and some abs. Wow. My legs are so sore today, and the fact that I'm doing nothing but sitting around reading isn't helping! I even took the boys for a walk, thinking it would help stretch them out. It did, but I'm still sore! Serves me right for skipping leg day for a month. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | I have to rant. Because the personal trainers at my gym piss me off. They're a subset of the gym I work out at, and apparently feel it's their right to take over the entire gym. They'll station water bottles and free weights next to machines so they can go off, do one workout, then go to another machine, and then a third, and so on. Tonight I had two guys working with this one trainer who cut in on me while I was working out, and then had the trainer and a third guy stand and stare at me while I tried to finish what I was doing. This happens just about every time I go to the gym and do something other than the treadmill. I know they pay money to work out there as well and have every right to, but they don't have the right to take over the gym while they do it. I'm going to have to redo chest / shoulder night, since I couldn't get in a good workout. |

| IronMass Donator | Just to amend to the story about the trainers - tonight while I was doing chest I saw one of the douchebag trainers and they were taking over several stations as usual. I snatched up the 105 lb dbs to do some chest presses with and when dude was right in my way I dropped it (on purpose) and hit him in the leg with it. I got up and curtly said 'oh, my bad, I didn't see you there, I thought you were over there and over there' and walked off. It was nice. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | Made it to the gym tonight for cardio. 45 minutes on the treadmill, warmed up at 9% for about 5-6 minutes at 2.5mph, then bumped it up to 3.0mph and 15% incline. Did that for about half an hour. Treadmill says I burned 500 calories. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | Since I had such a bad experience at the gym Monday night, I redid my chest workout last night. Press and flyes, both DBs and on some of the machines. I also threw in some lat pulldowns on the cable lat machine as I was waiting for Chris. I was going to work biceps / triceps with him, but started not feeling well due to needing some food, so after I did my little workout I went home and ate food. Tonight is legs, and after the hell that was last Friday I'm not looking forward to it. There was a definite feeling of puking, so I may have to drag a trash can over to the squat machine just in case ![]() |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | I hit a new low on my Saturday weigh-in: 167. I can't remember the last time I weighed that, and I was probably upset when I did see that on the scale. This morning it was back up to 169, but I did go a bit heavy on the carbs yesterday, so I'm thinking that accounts for the extra bit. I think I can hold steady -- and possibly go lower than -- the 167 by this weekend when Chris and I do pics. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | Well, apparently the scale reading in the 160s was all a dream, because I've gone right back up to where I've been stuck for the past four months. I ate one bowl of cereal, and one salad from Doc Greens, and that apparently was all it took. This tells me that I'm going to have to stick to this diet like a hawk the rest of my life, otherwise in a week I'll be a big fat blimp ![]() Anyways, went and did back and biceps on Wednesday. It was kind of a light workout; I got more color on my tattoo on Sunday, so I couldn't do lat pulldowns, but I got in some good back and what I felt were good bicep sets. Last night I hit the treadmill, and got about 30 minutes in before the stomach cramp I was trying to get rid of just wouldn't go away. Normally walking will help out if I have a stomach cramp, but no matter how fast I walked or how high I had the incline, it wasn't budging. I was bent over double on the way home. Tonight is dreaded leg day, and tomorrow I have hopes of getting up and making it to the belly dance studio for their technique / cardio class. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | Went to the gym last night and did back and biceps. Since I seem to have so much trouble with the trainers trying to do chest and shoulders on Mondays, I switched my days. Had a nice, pleasant workout yesterday. I can't seem to really work my biceps, though. I do the weight I can barely do, but there's no soreness the next day. Chris and I have banished the scale; we're both in complete stasis when it comes to the number on the scale, so we figure we're just not going to worry about it for awhile. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | I really enjoy going to the gym later in the evening; there's no one there and I can use just about any machine / weights I want. Tuesday I hit the treadmill. My goal was to hit 501 calories, as last Thursday I hit 500 calories, but I just couldn't pull it out. I went a bit too long in the warm up stage, so only hit 451 calories. Next time I'll shoot for the 501 again. Last night did chest and shoulders. I think it's about time to step up the weight; though I was sweating and felt I got a good workout, I think I can do better. The scale is still put up; I won't weigh myself until tomorrow morning, so I can have some stats for pictures when I post them tomorrow night. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | Monday: back and bi day. Seems to work out a lot better than doing chest, because I'm not fighting over the same equipment as everyone else. Got in a good back and bi workout, then killed my abs on the balance ball. I think it's about time I can graduate from using the 20lb curl bar to warm up with; I almost feel like I can start throwing that thing around! ![]() Tonight is Cardio Tuesday, so I'm going to shoot for the 501 calories burned mark. Next week starts being interesting. I'm back in school for the semester, so I'll be getting up at 4am to hit the gym, then go to work for 8 hours, then class for a few hours, then home and bed. Rinse and repeat, Monday-Thursday. Right now I'm in the mindset of "Ok, I can get up that early and go work out," but ask me again in 3-4 weeks! |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | Last night I did chest and shoulders. I was really tired and the thought of going to the gym wasn't that inspiring, but I dragged myself there and am glad I did it. I really made sure to push it hard, and this morning I am nicely sore. I also did the yoga / pilates class, which is an hour, and I'm feeling sore from that as well. It was a new routine, and I quite liked it; too bad that classes will prevent me from going to any more ![]() |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | Today is the first day back at school, and I had all the best intentions of getting up early so that I could hit the gym before work, since I'll have no time after class. 4 am came and I reset the alarm. I slept like crap, Chris was home so the sound of him and the dogs going up and down the stairs kept waking me up, lights being turned on kept waking me up (we sleep with the bedroom door open), so I just needed that extra hour of somewhat sleep. Tonight I'll be closing the door when I go to bed, and do plan on getting up at 4 tomorrow to hit the gym for Cardio Tuesday. It's going to be rough, no doubt about that, but I don't want to get into a rut of not going to the gym because it's too early. If I start now, I'll get into the habit of going, and perhaps I'll end up sleeping better, too. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | I tell you something, getting up at 4am to get to the gym at 5 after getting to sleep around 10:30 suuuuuuuuuuucks. But I've done it twice now, which is good. I'm just going to take it one day at a time and not think about the fact that I have to do this for the next two months. *falls over* Yesterday hit chest / shoulders / triceps and today was Cardio Tuesday. I'm still in the adjustment phase; yesterday I got to work 45 minutes early, and today I was 30 minutes late. I'll have to time my workouts better. Anyways, yesterday I felt a bit light on the weights, and today I was a bit light on the cardio, but I can push myself better tomorrow and the next day. Just trying to get used to the new schedule! |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | Got my new plan from EME to take me the last 8 weeks to the IMPC finals. He's given me Tuesday off, which is good, because trying to get up at 4am 4 days in a row is tough. However, it's also kind of weird to NOT have to get up at 4am on Tuesday. I feel like I'm playing hooky. So I may have to get up anyways and do some yoga or walk around the neighborhood with the dogs. Monday, chest / shoulders / tri's / abs, and then a bit of cardio. I had to cut it a bit short since I got to the gym late. AND he's structured my food around class, so I can get in all my meals and meet my metrics for the day. |
