Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | Memo to Life: Quit getting in the way of my workouts! You're not helping! Haven't gotten in the gym in a few days, although the scale is still holding at a steady 169. I plan on hitting the gym every day for the next week and a half though; I don't know how long I'll be down once I have my surgery. Hopefully it won't be too long and I'll be able to get right into it. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | Update: Wednesday, did back and biceps. I decided to switch up my back workout a little bit, so I did Smith machine bent over rows, supersets with palms up and palms down, 20X10 (x4). Hyperextensions, 4 sets of 10 holding a 25lb weight, and the rear delt machine. 30x10, 40x8, 50x6, 60x4. Then I did flat crunches with an 8lb med ball on a balance ball. My back is still feeling it. Last night, belly dance class. I sweated my ass off doing that, plus I still have to practice like crazy for the next week. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | Been a right slack bum the last week. Trying to pack up the old house to move to the new house, coupled with the enormity of buying this house, has stressed me out to no end. Plus I had minor surgery to remove a cyst cavity on Friday; that wasn't fun. Wednesday (5/23): Back and Biceps: Bent over rows (Smith machine): 15x10, 20x10, 40x6 Rear delts (machine): 40x8, 50x6, 60x4 Hyperextensions: 3 sets, 25x10 BB curl: 3 sets, 40x8 BB preacher curl: 3 sets, 20x8 Balance ball crunch: 3 sets of 15 Reverse crunch (off a bench): 3 sets of 15 Plank: 3 sets, held for 30 seconds each Thursday: Bellydance (cardio), 1 hour Tuesday (5/29): Cardio Treadmill, warm up 8%, 10%, 15% for 15 minutes, 10%, then cooldown. All at 2.8mph, 45 minutes total. Burned 425 calories, so it says. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | Update: Well, things have been kind of lax since we started moving. I've been eating like crap the last few days, because we haven't been grocery shopping yet (we weren't sure if we'd have to bring any money to closing, so we were saving our money) and what food we did have that was on the meal plan is either at the other house, or packed up. We've both been eating like crap lately, and I'm definitely feeling it. I'm hoping we can get the new kitchen set up soon and go shopping. I don't think I've ever craved grilled chicken and steamed broccoli more! I did hit the gym last week; as soon as I have access to my workout journal I'll post the workout. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | Update: FINALLY got to the gym yesterday. Did 45 minutes of cardio, warming up at 8%, then switching between 12 and 15% for the remainder of the time. Kicked my butt, and I loved every minute of it. Didn't make it tonight; got busy at work and didn't eat enough, so I felt dizzy and out of sorts after work. BUT, I just got the hellafied new workout from Michael, so I'll definitely be starting that tomorrow. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | Did my first new workout last night -- back and biceps. I can actually feel a bit of ache in my back, and my biceps hurt a bit. This is good! I usually don't hurt in either area, but going to failure is probably the best way to do this. Got another belly dance class tonight. I'm not performing after all in July, so just taking different classes until fall. May hit the gym after that and do about 30 minutes cardio, and then Chris and I have to haul a stainless grill up some stairs to the back deck, then probably taking the dogs for a walk around the neighborhood. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | Went to belly dance class last night. An hour of sweat-inducing cardio. The class was good. What wasn't good is that somewhere between arriving there and leaving, I lost my wallet, and didn't realize it until I was 45 minutes away. ![]() |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | 11 days since last update and counting.... Not going to really put much in my update. I went to the gym last night and got through my chest and shoulder workout. Had a trainer at the gym correct my flat DB flye form; I have to wonder how long I've been doing it wrong, I just wasn't going far enough out, but now I have it, so thanks to the trainer dude. Then I did an hour long Bodyflow class: tai chi, pilates, and yoga all mixed into one class. It definitely kicks my ass. I missed my belly dance class last week, so I will definitely make sure I go this week, so I'm not too far off from the choreography. Tonight is cardio. I might try to make it to the spinning class at the gym Psycho mentioned. I'll have to see if I can make it longer than the 30 minutes he did! ![]() |
