Decided to be crazy and enter the Controlled Labs Slider eating contest even though I'm on keto, so I'll have fun doing hella fasted cardio in the morning as damage control. In all fairness, I couldn't eat many in the 2 minutes, so I think I'm ok.. hehe.

Talk about avoiding my own log, hehe. Things are going really well, weight is holding steady at 282, so about 12-13lbs down from this time last month. I anticipate the number will stay there until after my next triathlon as I am worrying about fueling my workouts > weight loss. Call it a recomp, call it maintenance calories with a shitload of cardio.. whatever you want to call it, hehe.

I haven't been around the boards much at all anymore, but I'm still plodding away on my transformation.

Finished my first two triathlons in recent weeks, with another occuring next Saturday.

The trend is this:

Weekend 1: Tri
Weekend 2: Tri
Weekend 3: Off

So that is what I'm working with. I've dropped 5lbs so far, with probably another 4-5 before next race (7th). I am doing pics on the 10th so potential for more weight loss this month.

Run until my legs fall off?

Since I am in 'peaking' mode for this Saturday's triathlon, I have been pushing the pace when it comes to my running/biking. Today, after a full day of standing at work, I headed to the gym for a nice relaxing (ie hellacious) run.

.25 mile walk to warmup
3 miles, -30 under race pace
Finished with a 12mph sprint for 1/12th mile.
.25 mile walk to cooldown

Then came the fun. For those of you who may not know, I'm training my nephew Domanic for an upcoming. kids triathlon in August, so I then had to train with him for HIS run.. note to self: don't train both of our runs on the same day.

1 mile, +3 minutes over my race pace (= his race pace)
.25 mile cooldown walk

Total distance ran - 4.0 miles

My quads be sore.
