Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 16 | Hi everyone! I just played off of DawnMarie's journal title to make my own. My nemesis is a cellulite dimple on the back of my left thigh that only seems to want to depart company with me when I get down to around 13% bodyfat. It may be a good thing it's there or I wouldn't workout at all. :lol3: I'm going to participate in the IMPC figure and Most Improved contests. If I can't do both, someone please let me know. I have a crazy schedule coming up, but I'm going to give this my best. I need to be somewhat lean for June, as I'm going to Kiawah Island to spend a month there during June. I'll start a clean bulk around mid-June. I head to Europe for two weeks from July 15 through the end of the month (during which, I'm sure I'll be feasting away and having a very unclean bulk :lol3: ). When I return, I'll continue with a clean bulk through mid August. I'll cut from mid-August forward to the end of the IMPC and we'll see where I'm at then I suppose. These are my stats as of March 31, 2007: Saturday, March 31, 2007 121lbs Bodyfat Range – 16.5 to 17.1% (This is according to the oMoron, which is virtually useless but I hope it shows a downward trend as I go along.) Boobays: 37" Waist 25.5” Hips 36” Quad 21.25” Bicep: 11, 11.75 Shoulders: 39.75” Calf: 14" I've been carb cycling for two weeks already on a h-m-l schedule and doing 30 minutes of cardio five times a week. Starting yesterday, I'm on a h-l-m-l schedule and doing 60 minutes of cardio five times a week. My cardio varies -- some mornings I go for a pre-breakfast walk in the hood and a couple of few times a week I do my cardio on the elliptical. I workout in my home gym. It's a pretty cool set up with a ProSpot 500: Welcome to ProSpot Fitness - Consumer Products :: P-500 an elliptical, a ham glute raise, a sissy squat apparatus, a leg press and dumbbells from 10lbs to 50lbs in five pound increments. My training is not going to look very impressive this week and next as I'm planning on doing light weights/higher reps this week to give my body a break from all the heavy lifting I've been doing lately. I'm developing aches and pains I don't like. I head to Kiawah on Thursday and will stay until Monday. Luckily, there's a gym at Kiawah and I love to ride my bike on all the trails there. Monday, I head to Hilton Head to see my sister through Wednesday evening. I'll only be able to do treadmill work from Monday to Wednesday. I'll be back home Thursday and ready to go at it heavy again. I'll post before photos on Thursday before I head to Kiawah. I suppose there will be a special thread set up for the photos. Isn't there supposed to be some sort of sign we're supposed to print off to take our before pics? Today, I'm doing abs and cardio. I'll post it when I actually do it. I'm looking forward to this contest and mighty nice to meet some of you. (LOL -- just reread my post and realized this doesn't sound very nice! I meant -- It's mighty nice to meet those of you I have not met yet! ) Plus, hello to those of you I already know. Oh -- and I'm taking: Lipo 6 Multi-vitamin Vitamin C Vitamin E Vitamin B-50 Calcium/Magnesium Joint Care Isopure Whey ISS Effervescent Creatine That's all I can think of at the moment for supps. Best wishes to all who are participating and thanks to Michael and IronMass for putting on the contest! |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 16 | Oh no! I'm on a timer for editing posts? I'm so old, that will never work out good for me. :lol3: Thank you so much, A.Free!! I hope you're doing fantastic! So, I just completed 60 minutes on the elliptical. My tummy started cramping towards the end and I had already had four 24oz. bottles of water and drank another while on the elliptical. I guess I need more. I'm going to drown!!I waited 10 minutes after cardio for my tummy to settle down so I could do abs. Cable Crunches 4 sets X 25 reps each X 40lbs Note: My ProSpot has such tight cables! I can do much more on the cables at the commercial gym. It's quite demeaning. :lol3: Knee Ups on the Roman Chair 4 sets X 15 reps each Side Bends 15 reps each side X 30lbs on cables -- didn't like the way this was feeling on the ProSpot as I don't have a single handle -- I just have the V-bar. Anyhoo, moved to dumbbells for the next two sets. 15 reps each side holding 20lb dbs 15 reps each side holding 20lb dbs Ta-dee-da! |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 16 | Thanks, spacelown! I can't decide -- maybe I'll just do most improved. If I do figure, I'll have to paint me with ProTan and I sold my suits -- I don't know that I want to buy another one. I would be more motivated if there were an actual figure contest I could do in November, but I know there isn't one in South Carolina -- well not an NPC contest. I don't know of other contests besides NPC here.Anyhoo, still thinking about it. . . . la,la,la,la Oh -- North Carolina has one November 3rd in Greensboro. I just don't know if I have the energy! I'd better get my butt out there and exercise! :lol3: |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 12 | Hi'ya Hib! Informative posts, as always. How far away is Greensboro? I think you should go for it - double motivation - both that one and the IMPC!

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 16 | Hi Mark! Thanks, sweetie! Ha,ha davtown -- so are you Dave? Dav? Town? :lol3: I need something to call you for short. Hi DF! I wish I were going to the tropics. I'll pretend I'm there while at Kiawah! Thanks about the editing thing. I'll try to make this geriatric mind work quickly and edit things within the allotted time. So, I finally took my lazy bahonkus out there to do my workout. I decided I'm going to do light full body workouts this week. I've been going heavy since I returned from the Arnold and my body is already screaming at me -- aches and pains -- a tweaked sciatica and a tweaked rotator cuff/bicep stuff again. Lawd have mercy, what happened to that body that could do two a days and go hard all the time? Sniff. ![]() So, here's today's fun: Warmup on the elliptical for 7 minutes Squats 80lbs X 10 X 3 sets DB SLDLs 30lb dbs X 10 X 3 sets DB Bent Over Rows 25lb dbs X 10 X 3 sets DB Military Presses*I tried Arnold presses and my hurt shoulder would have none of that! Plus, I put this shoulder exercise in front of the chest exercise because I need more help with my shoulders than my chest. 15lb dbs X 10 reps 20lb dbs X 10 reps X 2 sets Incline Presses*I'm wondering if I didn't tweak my shoulder again by lowering the bench on my inclines. I can't do flat bench because it hurts my shoulder too much, so perhaps lowering the bench for inclines wasn't my brightest moment. :p 20lb dbs X 10 reps X 3 sets Overhead DB Tricep Extension 25lb db X 10 reps X 3 sets DB Alternating Bicep Curl 20lb dbs X 10 reps X 3 sets Calve Raises*Sat on the bench and had my foot on a calf block with the DB sitting on my knee 30lb db X 20 reps X 3 sets Voila! It was light and easy and my body will probably thank me for it. I don't know if I'll continue to do shoulders this week or not. They may need a rest and they sure weren't happy today. Other exciting news: 1) I bought this pasta called Carba-Nada Egg Fettucine. I decided to wait to try it until high carb day but just because I know you want to know -- per 2oz dry serving, it has 140 calories, 1 gram fat, 24 carbs, 6 fibers and 12 protein. Not too shabby. 2) Did you know the lead singer from Run DMC is now a minister and has a reality show of his family on MTV? He was on Oprah today. I liked him -- he had a beautiful family. That tis all! Oh -- no it isn't: 3) Why, oh why do I have to run out of a bunch of supps all at once? Today, I purchased glutamine, creatine, multivitamins, vitamin B-50 and Joint Care. Jiminy Crickets!! ta-ta :peace: |
