Fri night took the boys to a Fall Festival with my sister and niece. Saturday took kind of a "lazy day" and we all relaxed. Had my carb up that day also and felt funny sitting around all day eating It was yummy but by the end I was ready for it to be over, not used to that really full feeling... Listen to me complaining about eating carbs all day! I must be crazy! haha Sunday got in a particularly sweaty cardio session and did some errands. Really enjoyed the elliptical looking out on the pool and yard and watching the kids "bug hunt" outside while listening to some upbeat cardio music. Back on my 2 week cycle so no carb up this weekend, just a carb meal.WOs will be spread over more days with a cardio in the middle. The elliptical has really been hitting my legs and butt from every angle - I was relieved that today was not leg day!Chest/Back Bench Press (smith) 10x70, 8x90, 8x90, 5x110 - Only up 5 lbs, but a PR! ![]() Haven't done these in a LONG time! Broke my PR from last March though so I was happy...I am curious what I could do if I was eating some carbs! I think I torched too many yesterday...wasn't feeling that post-carb up strength today. Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 34 | Tenacious Tuesday - CKD week 4...25 days til contest pics!Was a little tenative about working out today, kind of dreading legs after burning them up on the elliptical lately. But once I got myself motivated I had a surprisingly focused WO! I was so intent on getting out there and getting it done that I didn't notice until half-way through that I forgot my music This is usually a deal-breaker for me and would mess up my focus...but it was actually kind of nice for a change to just enjoy the silence ...just me and my thoughts and the weights. Changed it up a little and did some different exercises which was fun. This evening, had fun time with the kids making hot dogs in a blanket that looked like mummys Hit the elliptical after they went to bed and felt productive getting some other "to-dos" done..always nice to cross things off the list! As far as the contest, I'm counting down the days until the final pics! I ordered my tanning and supplies for the final weeks and just trying to keep focused. Happy almost Hump Day! No PM cardio, worked late. Went to a jewlery party with my sister on Fri night. Had lots of fun and saw friends I haven't seen in a long time. When I got home I told MrDM that "he" bought me a necklace for an early bday present...I think he was a little scared until I reminded him that they only sell "fashion" jewelry (i.e. not expensive) lolLots of time spent planning family events in November - wow, this next month is going to be packed for MrDM and I! We have family coming in the week of final pics, 3 birthdays, a day trip, a vacation and lots more! Will be lots of fun but also very busy! We are now doing the day trip and my son's birthday party the weekend of the 10th so we are 100% committed to getting the pics done on Nov 4th and no room for re-takes! Was going to do a single carb meal but by Friday of this week I really needed some rest and some carbs. So took an off day Friday and had carbs Fri PM and Sat AM. Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 34 | Had a nice carb meal and went to a movie on Saturday. It was fun getting out for an evening. We also went to the pumpkin patch with the boys Sunday so they can't wait to carve them. With Halloween and Grandma coming to visit all in one week they are very excited. The youngest stayed up too late the night we went out though and was up all night last night, so I didn't get my butt up for AM cardio. I will do my best to make up for it tonight. Getting nervous about final pics on Sunday....was ok with where I was at on Saturday but between carb up and TOM issues I am currently feeling and looking very bloated. I know I will be more embarrassed not taking final pics than taking them when I don't look good so I will take them either way - I will not quit - but I will be very disappointed if that happens. MrDM and I were looking at the Jan Tana and OMG it is soooooo dark in the bottle! I am wondering now whether I really need to put on the show tan mousse the night before or if just a coat the competition tan is enough. I can't even imagine how I am going to look with that all over me! haha My mom is visiting for a couple weeks starting tommorrow and she says she will help "paint me"...lol. So should be interesting to see how things turn out in many ways!Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! We took the kids trick-or-treating and I painfully avoided ALL chocolate and candy! Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 34 | Friday - OFF Posing Practice only Saturday PICTURES! Change in plans with lots of family stuff going on so pics moved up a day. I'm in my Jan Tana and wow this stuff is so dark! A couple more caost between tonight and the morning and then it is picture time...I am so nervous! Bloating is gone, tummy is flat and I am praying to see abs! When I am done, there is a chocolate cake with fudge frosting in my fridge calling my name....and some100 grand bars stashed from Halloween...MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmm Will take a day or two to indulge, but not binge, then back to eating clean most of the time with an occasional treat. Will likely go back ot a more balanced diet approach and back to lifting heavy. ![]() Sunday is the 3rd anniversary of the day I started my weight loss journey at 282.5 lbs. I hope I will have at least nice photo to show my efforts...and maybe become my new avi ![]()

I am happy with my progress since I started 3 yrs ago today but I wish they had come out better as I felt I looked a little better in person. But it helped me see the areas I have improved and where I still need work, so that is a good thing. I suppose if I was completely happy with them then I wouldn't have anything to drive me to continue to improve.....so I've decided I will be happy and take what I have learned form this experience to help me continue to improve I just wish my abs would have showed, but I did see them well last month so I met my goal to see them by November.
