Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 34 | Looks like I am not getting my email notifications from here..my goodness thanks everyone for coming by! IrishPrincess - Thanks so much and definitely sounds like the right track! So glad to have you in IMPC! Now tell your man to keep the chocolate cake out of my log!!! :lol3: Skel - You are an evil, evil man!! :lol3: DF- You are So right about that!...diet has always been hardest for me. Hibby - Why does chocolate have to be so darn good! *sigh* JJ - Thanks JJ, you too! WEEKEND UPDATE Overall with everything going on I think I had a pretty good week. I missed 2 cardio sessions and 1 and a half weight sessions (triceps and part of biceps) but the scale still went down and I got the lowest ever reading on the Omoron this week! Oh and I kicked butt on Legs on Saturday!! Woo-hoo!! This was one tough WO, only about 4 exercises but major supersetting and OMG - yikes! After the 1st two I was thinking, how the heck am I going to finish this!! Dummy me forgot my water bottle with my Xtend too which really sucked. But I hobbled my way to the water fountain 8 billion times and finished the workout! Hope to be on track 100% this week with the WOs and do better on my water intake. In other news, the baseball game didn't pan out on Saturday but we ended up going to the beach this morning and it was SOOO nice! I FINALLY got some sun and a bit of color! MrDM is jealous because he says he has to tan at least 3 times to get what I got today..hehe. The beach was beautiful and so relaxing, I need to go more it really helps me de-stress and relax just to sit there and look at the water. Also, a little milestone today for me to put things in perspective....this was the first time I've wore a bikini in public in about 13 years! ![]() Hope everyone had a great weekend! Gotta get to bed - eek!!!

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 34 | Wow time is just flying this week, can't believe it's been so long since I posted in here! Been playing "catch-up" this week on lots of things and I think today is finally the day I am caught up and can try to get back to a normal schedule. Have kind of been burning the candle at both ends this week and sacrificing sleep so workouts have suffered a bit on strength and scheduling but I've done my best to get it in and push as hard as I can to make the most of my WOs. DOMS from this higher rep, short rest, superset type training are really wicked. Still feeling sore fromt he previous week so the burn started right away on each workout. DOMS in my hams from last Saturday were just unbelieveable, I couldn't extend my leg out straight for about a day or two and they are STILL sore! Trying to stretch and work on getting more sleep. So here's what I did this week, hoping to make up the missed day and be back on track by the end of the week. Mon - Chest/Abs/Cardio Chest still sore, seriously burning! Incline treadmill helped stretch the legs some but hobbling around badly, could've used a walker! ![]() Went up to 35 lb plate on my decline crunches! I think that is a PR! ![]() Tues - Missed ![]() Wed - Back/Abs/Cardio Got to go to the gym, woo-hoo!! Had a great WO session. People kind of looking at me funny doing supersets on the lat pulldown machine...lol They probably thought I was a total wimp because by the last set just trying to do 30lbs felt like 100 and I was shaking! Got to use the 15 degree incline treadmill for cardio with intervals and felt great, the extra 5 degrees makes such a difference! After this WO I was completely dead - it felt awesome! ![]() Thurs - Shoulders/Cardio Killed the shoulders! Using the smith for presses now instead of DBs and getting used to it. Went up on starting weight by accident, only at 50 lbs but was happy I was able to do it. This kind of training is not for making PRs so I don;t see this happening very often but I am pushing for every rep I can and it is kicking my butt!! Longer, steady state cardio today. Diet/Progress Weight had a nice downward trend but TOM had be all bloated and the scale is going crazy. But I am following my diet and the BF actually seems to still be holding steady or going down. Hope to do some measurements along with my IMPC pics this weekend when the bloat calms down and hope to see good trends between that and my weight and BF. This month has been crazy with me missing almost 2 weeks due to sickness but I am loking forward to seeing what next month brings when I get a full month of consistent diet and training! Hope everyone is having a great week...Happy Friday Eve! ![]()

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 34 | Friday Update Well, yesterday was a little rough and up way too late so this morning I slept in - intending to WO later....well, later ended up never and today was an OFF day but it was worth it because I got some really great news this evening! I can't share it yet but it I am really excited about it and I took the boys out to celebrate while MrDM was bowling and got some new toys for the beach. My oldest got a skimboard and I can just imagine what kind of injuries are going to happen with that - to him or to me! (not that I know how the heck to use it!) It is made of wood and it's hard -ouch! lol Also, got a sundress for Mommy. I look like a tourist in it because it is all flowery/surfer looking :peace: ...lol This weekend hope to get to the beach and have IMPC pics to take Next weekend we are going to visit my Mom in South Florida for Mother's Day. Looking forward to some relaxing family time at the beach AND I have a hot date with MrDM while they have a sleepover at gramma's! ![]() TGIF everyone and have a great night!

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 34 | Pammie - Thanks, you are too kind ![]() ---------------- Big changes going on here and things have been crazy! My big news is that I am starting a new job in about 1.5 weeks. I am excited but also sad to leave where I am at. It will be a big change for me and mean some adjustments to our family schedule. I have yet to figure out how it will affect my WO schedule but I am going to do my best to keep the AM workouts but might need to shorten to 60 min a day during the week (currently spending about 1.25-1.5 hrs). Diet should be fine as long as I stay organized and pre-cook dinners and pack lunches and snacks. Other big news is my sister and niece will be arriving next weekend and living with us while my brother-in-law outprocesses from the military. She has been overseas a long time and I really miss her and can't wait to see her!! Of course I will have to go buy some "girl stuff" for my niece With two boys, I never get to do that! My oldest is afraid she might bring Barbies and "girl toys..ewww" into our house..lolThis past weekend was nice, had a great leg day on Saturday, got a little more sun at the beach and did some shoe shopping...now I just need some work clothes to go with the shoes! Somehow I don't think spandex and hoodies would be good work attire..lol Monday and today I have not been able to WO. Monday I had a migraine for the 2nd day in a row and today I had some personal stuff going on. I also have had slips on the diet the last couple days. I am smacking myself for letting myself emotionally eat...bad, bad habit that comes back sometimes. But looking ahead and hoping to get back on track tommorrow and at least get in WOs on Wed and Thurs and maybe Fri morning. Then we will be out of town all weekend. Hope everyone is having a great week!

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 34 | Mother's Day update - May 16th I hope you all had a great weekend and mother's day too! I had a really nice Mother's Day and my mom really enjoyed having us over. MrDM and I didn't end up going dancing but we did go out for dinner and had a great time! I splurged and had my first ever Martinis...some kind of Fruitini or something...it was yummy! ![]() ![]() Aside from getting ready to change jobs and help my sister get settled here when she comes, we noticed how good the market is for houses here right now and decided turn the craziness up another notch and buy a house! I think we are nuts So I've been busy with that since my last update and I am VERY excited that we found one and will be moving in next month if everything goes as planned....and it has a pool! The boys are super excited because they both LOVE to be in the water! Hmm..what else...oh yeah, since this is a fitness related journal I guess I should mention that my diet has not been very good - either eating wrong thing or not eating much at all and I have not worked out since my last update Just too much going on! I have been using my WO time and some sleep timeto get things done and hoping that I can get into a groove next week when I start the new job and get my new schedule going. My weight has stayed about the same. Unlike usual, I am trying to stay positive and not beat myself up and think about how great it will feel when I get back to my routine Well, my aspirations of starting back on my routine this past week along with my new job starting just didn't work out. So since my last update 1.5 weeks ago I have only had 2 workouts which were today and yesterday. I did 20-30 min cardio and that is it....sad but true. It felt great to sweat even though short and I look forward to getting back with the program. With my schedule/job change this week, summer camp starting, and misc other things going on I just couldn't give WOs priority. But this week I packed lunch all week and tried to stick to the plan and my weight has stayed the same even with the lack of WOs and diet stumbles the past feew weeks so I am trying to remain optimistic that I will be able to get my groove back this week This weekend I will be spending time with my sister and niece and packing for the move in a couple weeks. Unfortunately it is looking like the garage is going to be the WO room in the new house and since we live in FL I am NOT looking forward to that! But, it does have 2 ceiling fans and I figure at least the extra sweat will make me feel like I am burning more fat! lol May 25th Well, my aspirations of starting back on my routine this past week along with my new job starting just didn't work out. I will try to stop in when I can among the craziness around my house. I may have had a rough couple months but I am far from giving up! As some have wisely told me...it is a marathon, not a sprint ![]() Quote of the Day: "Just keep swimming..." - Dori, Finding Nemo Today's Update This week... This week I didn't do as well as I expected. I did Back and Cardio on Tuesday and Cardio on Wednesday and then was busy the rest of the week and packing etc this weekend. Things are getting a bit more normal for this week and I'm trying to get a consistent schedule established that I can work to that doesn't make me feel like I am failing before I even start. With everything going on right now 6 days a week is tough and I am rushing like mad and still not finishing what I am supposed to do for WOs which is frustrating. The idea of taking IMPC pics kind of disgusts me at the moment but I am not going to quit, I am going to do what I would do even if I wasn;t in it and hope to see a difference by the end. With everything going on right now in life, I'd rather cut down my WOs some and get consistent and enjoy it and if I get more in sometimes then it is extra and a positive thing. For now I am doing what I can and looking into the gym at work to maybe go once a week after work with some co-workers for extra motivation and/or may start taking a class in the evening at my reg gym as I am missing that. I want to put the fun back into it and enjoy it more...even if I make very slow progress. Gotta find the balance and my happy place! Today... After a rough start....I got my tigger back! Went to the gym this evening and had the best, sweatiest, most focused workout I've had in about a month and a half...AND...it was FUN!!! I did 30 min on the elliptical at highest incline and med-high resistance and thendid 20 min on the incline treadmill alternating incline walking and flat sprints. It was GREAT!!!!!!! I feel like me again now and thanks to MrDM for watching the rugrats so I could have some"me" time *kiss* Have a great week all!!
