Diet/Supps/Sides:

Out of Sesamin today ...but the Supplement Santa (aka the Fedex man) should be visiting me sometime today. Guess I've been good after all lol

Need to drink more water!!




Training:
Cardio - Kick Punch & Crunch DVD, 60 min - Excellent! Woke up feeling very tired and unmotivated with lots to do this morning and took supps late. Considered skipping but dragged my sorry self to the TV and I was SO glad I did! After the warm up I really got into it and the kickboxing was just so motivating because I had to focus on what I was doing and also got out some stress and got my motivation going strong again - yay! I am feeling energized, less stressed and ready to kick some butt today!! BTW, I did ALL the pike position plank work on the ball today and all the way up!! Booya! A PR on abs!...hehe

Weights - Shoulders and Abs planned. They will get an extra workout since the kickboxing was heavy on them as well as a short ab section.

EDIT:Made slight increases but since I went up in weight last time I was happy with it. Was able to do more sets at the higher weight.



Other:
Sleep increased but still not enough, got about 5 hrs. Hope to get some tonight.

Cardio - Step Blast DVD, 60 min - 6" Step - Good - This was a new one and had some tricker moves than I like at 5 am when my brain is fried from working late so that slowed me down a bit from my usual intensity.

Weights - Leg Day planned for today. Can't go at lunch due to work so will try to go tonight.

Recovery - Noticed my legs and especially my glutes are sore, guessing from the increased step height and # workouts. But what's good for the booty is good for me! Shoulders also a bit sore. But got 6 hrs sleep and plan to get some more over the 3 DAY WEEKEND!!!

Other:
Found out my gym is open Monday - yay! Gotta stay on top of things next week before I go on vacation. Then I hope to get exercise walking, and possibly the resort gym which has cardio and weights. Also happy to find out the resort has lots of healthy food. Plan to eat lots of grilled chicken at the park. And of course, I will have my supps. Hubby thinks I am crazy but I'm not leaving home without theml!

Thank God It's Freaking Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am soooooo glad the end has finally come to this very crazy week!!!

Macros:

Super busy at work all day and then all evening, didn't drink enough water again. I really have no excuse because the water cooler is 3 feet from me!! I filled up the water bottle and it sat there all day full. So some body go ahead and smack me, I deserve it! Working on improving this as I think it is making me retain water and feeling a bit dehydrated.



Training:

Weights - Leg Day moved to Sat to do family stuff Fri evening.

Recovery - Got weird muscle spasms in my left mid/lower back during dinner. Went away after a few minutes adn didn't come back.



Other:
Work let us off early for the holiday weekend so spend the late afternoon and evening with family and getting ready for cook-out on Sat.

Had to pick up a couple pairs of shorts for the vacation and was thrilled to see that the size 10 I'd recently barely fit into were much loser and the waist was almost too big! Got them anyway since I want themon the bigger side for vacation but I am looking forward to hopefully buying some size 8's soon! This was especially motivating because I've been feeling "fat" lately even thought I know weight is coming from muscle it is still hard to ignore the scale, especially since it didn't go back down this week like it usually does. Also I have been craving carbs and feeling very hungry and kind of irratible lately and I hate that feeling.

Diet/Supps/Sides:

Stim-X/Xceed/Excell pre-WO. Increased thirst, no nausea, excellent energy. Felt very strong today.

Hi Cal/Carb Day. No macros today as I didn't have time to look up all the foods. But I did make the food for the cook out at my house so tried to make things as healthy as possible even though still a cheat. Made burgers with fat free cheddar and whole wheat bun with vegetarian baked beans. Made a whole wheat rotini salad with modified ingrerdients that was actually pretty tasty with spinach, fat free italian dressing, reduced fat parmesean, fat free cheddar, tomato and turkey pepperoni (this was bad but had just a little in mine). Lots of fresh fruit with cool whip free and fat free/cal free/sugar free choc syrup for dipping. Mmm. I did make a dessert and caved and had a small piece but it was really good and not too bad for a dessert. It has an angel food cake with center filling of strawberry sliced in sauce of pureed strawberries in fat free strawberry yogurt, iced with cool whip free and topped with more strawberries. I was a good girl and sent all the levftover food home wth guests to make sure we didn't eat any more.

Training:

Cardio - Step Class, 60 min - Excellent workout. Step on 8" height with weight intervals, kickboxing section and abs. Hadn't been to class in a long time and it was motivating to work out with others for a change.

Weights - Leg Day - AWESOME!!! - Could NOT believe how great of a leg WO I had!! Did it directly after step class and did not expect much. I think it may have actually helped since I was "warmed up", I was also very focused since I was not rushed and was determined to really push it. I went up in weight on squats AND the triple drop set for quads AND leg press!! Woo-hoo!!! I was sooo excited!! This really helped get my motivation back up where it belongs. Did have to skip the last TDS for hams as there was a line for the machine and was time for me to go.

Recovery - Legs a little sore next day but not bad, I need to get a few more leg WOs like this to really see what I can do. I know I can do better, sore or not!



Other:

GOT 9 HOURS OF SLEEP LAST NIGHT!!!!! WOO-HOOO!!!

Had to run home, run to store and cook right after the gym and then had company all day until late. Had a fun day but I have to say I was worn out after having my sister-in-law's 3 kids over in addition to my 2. She was busy with the infant so while playing hostess I also got to sunscreen, supervise and referee 4 kids, three of them 3 years and under. To all of you with more than 2 kids - much respect! It was fun but OMG alot of work! I think the kids more me out more than my WOs!! LOL

Nice job on the sleep DM, I haven't had good 9 hours straight in it seems like years . And your right about the little guys..lol. They are more tiring then any workout. :crazy1:

I feel for you DF! Sleep is something you totally take for granted until you don't get any! Then it is like for-ev-er when you don't! Thankfully I got extra last night so I recovered from the day with all the rugrats lol Hope you have a great weekend - and get some sleep!! I'm sure you'll at least sleep more soundly when DNYC is by your side.

Default EME Plan - End of Week 6 Progress

Progress Charts - End of Week 6

Happy to see a couple inches lost. Can definitely see areas where fat has gone away and other areas with visible muscle that was not there before (even if only when flexed - it's there!) Having random BF readings as high at 33% in between those charted here, I take all BF measurements with a grain of salt good or bad but hope it is a downward trend overall still. :o As far as the weight, good overall. However - as far as this week is concerned.... ..that is all I have to say about that. I am doing the best I possibly can so just thinking positive that it will be a better week this week *fingers crossed*

Cardio - IMAX 2: Advanced Step Interval DVD, 60 min, 6" Step - AWESOME! Didn't get to the gym as the rugrats are home and hubby slept in but did finally get my cardio in late morning and did my favorite kick-ass DVD. Surpisingly I did great even with sore and tight hamstrings adn they felt much better afterwards. Felt SO great to work up a super sweat - Ahhh! Love it!!

Weights - Chest/Tris/Abs planned, may need to make up on off weight day due to family activities today.
