Like I said at the very beginning...

The weight on the scale is one small part of the picture.

You are doing some MAJOR repartitioning right now.

You're getting stronger on everything, AND, dropping bodyfat.

When your bodyfat % is dropping faster than than your total weight, that means 1 thing.... you are adding significant muscle at the same time.

I know it's tough when you have based your entire success for so long on that one number.... but remember..... we are changing your body.... not the number on the scale.

Your body composition, strength, endurance, how you look, and how you feel are what we are working toward.

Talking Thanks guys!!! And I am finally back!!!

I am finally back from what felt like a very long 2 days without being able to update my log!! Gotta have my daily fix of exercise and logging or I get very grumpy! So glad to be back and so nice to see all the support and encouragement - THANKS!!

FNF & Pammie - Thanks so much to both of you for following my log and always lending support and encouragement!

FNF - Also thanks again for leading me (dragging me...lol...j/k) to EME!!! I owe you big time for that one!!


EME - I am being repartitioned? Woo-hoo! Cool! I love that analogy, I think it appeals to my inner geek Seriously though, thanks so much for your encouragement and the reminders about paying attention to the right indicators of progress. And also for giving me such an awesome diet and training plan!! I only hope my efforts can do it justice! You have really given me something flexible and totally customized to my crazy life which that has allowed me to stick with it, be challenged and get on my way to being stronger and leaner - I can't wait to see where I am in another 8 weeks!! Thanks EME!!

P.S. I am SO excited to finally see a downward trend in this number. My BF has never looked like this before and did not decline this much in the entire 7 weeks prior to starting this plan!!! I am very excited about this and some recent changes I am starting to see in the mirror. No way am I ever stopping now - I have come way too far!!

Mini-reviews on new supplements:

Whey, Anabolic Innovations - The Chocolate Banana Split whey is delicious IMO opinion and a nice change from plain chocolate. I like the fact that is has less calories than the ON I was using and it mixes the same or slightly better than ON. You do have to use a bit more per serving but the lower cost more than makes up for itl. I am very happy with this and plan to buy other flavors in the future, or get the plain that you can flavor yourself to mix and match. Note: make sure you have a spare container handy if you prefer something very sturdy for storage.

Excell (BCAAs), Anabolic Innovations - The Lemon Excell is not as sweet as the grape Xtend, a little more bitter flavor but tastes good and compliments the Lemon Xceed very nicely when mixed together. Adjusting the water to taste helps. I also have the grape but have not tried it yet. Mixes about the same as Xtend, pre-mixing and letting it dissolve works best. Serving scoop is the same. To early to tell as far as effectiveness. So far, I am happy with this as well.



Training:

Cardio - Good - Yes, you are reading correctly...I did an African-Latin Dance Cardio at 5:00 AM in the morning - and didn't fall on my face!!! LOL ha! I was getting a little bored so I had to try something completely new to me. Let me just say that althought this was not an intense workout, I got way more out of it than I thought (after I stopped laughing at myself ) and I have a new found respect for dancers! It has been many moons since I did any dancing so I enjoyed it and had lots of fun....but I don't think I'll be doing this one again.

Weights - OFF - Attempted to do chest at home in evening and had zero strength (from lack of sleep IMO) and no focus with kids at home and work waiting to be done to meet a deadline. Decided to try again tommorrow since i was off weights rather than do a half-assed workout (I hate that! Rrrrr).



Other:

Running on 4 hrs sleep today. Hope to get back on track in a day or two when things calm down.

Diet/Supps/Sides:

Stim-X today, thirsty but thank goodness for the energy - I needed it! Hope to get the best energy supplement tonight - sleep!!! Also need to drink more water tommorrow.



Training:

Cardio - AWESOME! ! - Had to do cardio at lunch today due to work, but I finally found a keeper!! IMAX 2 from Cathe Friedrick absolutely rocks!! Found out my step isn't coming so tried this WO I taped off of FitTV since it could be done on a lower step and OMG it was incredible! VERY challenging and I was on the verge of not being able to do everything. I will be purchasing the DVD of this and doing it for some time. And after I get better at this one I'm going to go for some in the Hardcore Extreme series...yeah, baby!! Pure step with intervals using power stepping (propulasion), plie jumps, airborne jumping jacks, ski jumps, sumo squats...and more!!! Loved it!! Weights - Chest/Tris/Abs - Snuck to the weight room during part of my son's swimming lesson but ran out of time to complete everything. Will try to add the missed exercises to tommorrows weight session. Should be back on plan tommorrow afte crazy couple days.




Other:

Running on 4.5 hrs sleep today (went up .5 hr, does that count as progress? lol). But I made my deadline at work and plan to get some serious shut-eye tonight to give my body the rest it needs so I can have an awesome workout tommorrow!

Viper you are right about that! My ass is officially being kicked!! And I am loving every minute of it!! Go Team Torture!!

FNF I am counting on that and OMG, yes I do remember! I used to do just as much Cardio with minimal results from my efforts!! Now I do it 6 days but feel like the fat is melting away and I am getting stronger too! I definitely feel this is due to EME's changes in my diet and training in his plan. I hope next month the pictures will show the changes I am starting to see...but it is only a coupe weeks away! Eek! I will be at Disney June 2 - 6 so trying yo decide if I should take them before or after I go. Hmmm. We'll see.

Cardio - IMAX 2: Step Interval, 60 min - Woo-hoo! Awesome!! Slightly easier than yesterday but still super challenging. I could feel the fat running from this one! hehe Loving it!

Weights - Plan to finish missing Tris/Abs from yesterday and do Shoulders/Abs for today. Going to really push to get at least some extra reps on every exercise I can. *fingers crossed*

Sleep up to 6 hours today! Not as much as I hoped but what a difference I can feel in my workout this AM already!

Well, I fell asleep at 9 PM last night and was completely comatose..LOL - but I actually got 8 full hours of sleep!! OMG!!! Woo-hoo!! I am just full of energy today! Here are my updates from yesterday since I can't go back and edit the post now.

EDIT: Didn't get to do the make-up or abs last night..busy day and then fell asleep at 9 PM! Plan to do tommorrow with Legs so I can do Hanging Leg Rasises at the gym. Love those

Cardio - Hardcore Kickbox Circuit DVD - 60 min - GREAT WO!! Aside from a little cheesiness, this was a great wo! Used 3 lb DBs during the cardio and 5lb during the couple brief sculpting sections. The weights increased the intensity during cardio and the advanced kickboxing combos made me feel like a female action hero or something!! LOL Next time I will use heavier weights on sculpting but I was afraid to torch my shoulders too much after yesterday as I wanted to keep good form for all my punches. Felt a really good burn though. Hubby said I got this one because one of the instructors looked like Antonio Banderas :p LOL

Weights - Great leg day today!! Up on reps and weights..Hit 300 lbs on leg press - woo-hoo!!!! - woo-hoo!!!! Unfortunately I ran out of time so tommorrow will make up teh TDSs and Abs, but did make up the missed arm exercises between sets which kept the heart rate up nicely!




Other:

Got 8 hours of sleep last night! Yipee!! Vacation countdown...T minus 5 days!! EDIT: It's really 10 days...oops, boy and I was really excited there for a minute! oh well, still can't wait!
