High cal/carb up/cheat meal day today. Yummy wheat pancakes for breakfast and planning Pizza lunch..Mmmm. Looking forward to feeling extra strong and energized tommorrow from the extra carbs - I'm gonna burn 'em up!!!

Training:

OFF Day - Wasn't sore yesterday but sitting down is a bit painful today - ouch!! Glad to be off today.

Other:

Excited to see what I can do in my workouts this week. I am starting to feel and sometimes see more/different muscles and it is definitely motivating me to keep working hard to get stronger and leaner. I just keep telling myself "There is a great body hiding underneath that layer of fat - just focus, stick with the plan, and burn that fat OFF!!!"

Training:

Swapped out Shoulders-Abs with Back-Biceps-Calves sinceIi had more gym time today. Will do shoulders at home tommorrow.

Weights were okay but not great. I did not get enough sleep last night and my strength suffered. Had to drop down weight to keep good form. Also a guy wanted to share a machine with me and he and anotehr guy were talking to me during a coupe exercises and it kind of threw off my focus. I am used to working out alone with the MP3 up really loud. On a positive note, I got a compliment on using good form, especially for someone relatively new and some surpised looks when I increased the weight when it was my turn. So that felt kind of good Also they thought I was in college!! Ha! LOL Should have seen the looks when they found out I was a 31 year old mother of 2 who used to be 120 lbs heavier. Funny They were very nice though and it was nice to meet some of the people you see all the time but don't know thier names. But I definitely do better working out alone.

Forced myself to do 45 min on cardio and a bit faster than last time. Got a second wind and did get a great cardio workout.



Other:

Keeping log short tonight to try to get to bed early.

way to go on getting the looks! since i workout at home i never get that...hahha....but hubby HAS come home a few times to see the barbell loaded and said "WOW! did you lift that?" hehehe....i always love it when he tries what i did with the same weight and is challenged...he's obviously way stronger than me in some ways but i have been known to lift my side faster and easier than him many times! GIRL POWER keeps the world going round doesnt it? heheheheeh whohooooo!

Default EME Plan - Week 3, Day 3, 5/2/06 Tuesday

Weight:
AM - 164.2
PM - 163.6
BF - 28.7%

Finally took BF on scale out of curiousity after giving up on this number. BF by caliper was 29.7% at start of plan, scale normally reads higher percentages for me. Had only gone down 1.1% during last 7 week log. Lowest ever recorded on this scale was 28 but I think that was a fluke. So I'm not sure if this means anything but it is encouraging to me since I am only in 3rd week of plan and it appears to be lower by at least 1%. Will be checking periodically, with cautious optimism

Diet/Supps/Sides:

Substituted Raspberried for Blueberries (ran out) and Bussel Sprouts for Broccoli (I swear I just cannot eat one more bite of broccoli, I am burned out!)

Took Stim-X today (1 capsule, 2 doses) and it did not let me down, nor did any of my other supps! No sides but increased thirst. Really felt the Xceed today during both workouts and finally got some pumps!! Awesome Between the Stim-X/Xceed/Xtend and extra rest, I was like the energizer bunny today!!!



Training:

Chest-Biceps-Triceps-Abs at home today (shoulders are Thurs, I said it wrong yesterday) Up on reps and up an extra set of leg raises at the gym!! I LOVE hanging leg raises!!!

Cardio rocked tonight!! Kicked it up a notch setting a new PR (hey, YS says I can gave cardio PRs!! lol) on time and speed. Did 60 MINUTES!!! And upped to max recommended speed of 4.0 mph for last 10 minutes!!! That was awesome!! My tank top was so soaked it was completely stuck to me like a wet rag!! Hope lots of that was fat!!! Burn, baby, burn!!!!

P.S. I think this incline treadmill is working really well for me!! I burned more cals tonight than running 5 miles, my legs and glutes feel like they really get a workout and I can see my quads when I am not even flexing! Thank You EME!!!!



Other:

Tommorrow's agenda - FASTED MORNING CARDIO AT 5 AM!!! Ahhh!!

Goal for the week - Try to get 7 hrs sleep at night (I always say I like challenging goals! LOL). Amazing the difference I feel between 5 hrs of sleep and 7..felt SO much better today!

Vacation - Very excited that I am taking my boys to Disney for 4 days in June. Will be doing LOTS of walking/chasing the boys around the pool and up and down the waterslide (Daddy doesn't do waterslides...lol). Plan to do my best to eat as clean as I can and the resort has a gym if I ever get to use it.

Yeah, sleep = so much different.

I'm not up to fasted cardio yet, but I did it for years in the Army and it really was all that for fat loss. Can't wait to see your May pics, btw.

Thanks for visting my log! My diet is part of a training plan by Michael Elias ("EME") and I am also really liking it! Thanks for the encouragement!

Disappointment with my high BF is part of the reason I went to EME for help. I do have a good amount of muscle IMO but I guess when you get as heavy as I was and lose without doing any weight training (until recently) that is what happens. But I am hoping with EME's help I will burn that fat off!! In fact, I am happy to report that my BF was 27.9 this morning on that same scale that I was about 34 % on about 10 weeks ago wehn I bought it - so if it is right then maybe I am not doing so bad on BF after all! Maybe I lost 10 lbs of pure FAT..*wishes really, reallly hard to make it so* LOL :fingersxd
