Thanks DF, I am really, really happy eventhough I have more to work on. Actually, I did run into a friend at the pediatricians office I had not seen in about 4 years and she did not recognize me at all. She said if she didn't hear my voice she would not have believed it was me!

She said "your husband told me you lost weight, but oh my god!! you look like a different person! sorry to stare but I can't help it!" It was slightly embarassing but funny and felt really good.

Wow. First, let me congratulate you again on the GREAT work you've done. Losing well over 100lbs of fat in 2 years that is a truly inspiring accomplishment that unavoidably requires a great deal of willpower. I salute you.

About the surgery: you did the right thing and I'm sure you know it. Good decision. You're starting to look pretty all over, and I'm sure hubby and you are both pretty ecstatic about that.

One thing that I feel I need to point out is that anything that increases growth hormone production in the body will make the skin more elastic and heal it, making it tighter. For those who have just a bit of loose skin, supplements designed to do that might work. And for the rest of us, it's a good thing to keep in mind in case we need some firming up. And eventually, that need comes to everyone...

You may not have finished the IMPC but you sure are taking gold in the DMPC.

Yes, I don't regret the surgery a bit. It was the right decision for me and I am very pleased with it. I still have loose skin in places but the most obvious and troublesome areas are no longer there overshadowing my progress anymore which is really great! Hubby and I are celebrating our 10th anniversary next weekend and we both look better and feel better than we did when we met and we are very happy about that!

That is good info to know and I will share it,thanks! I get questions sometimes from folks about loose skin. I am sure if steps are taken preventatively they can really help if you do them before the skin gets extrememely overstretched and permanently marked, or as you said if it is not alot of skin.

The DMPC I like that!
