Yessssssss, you did a good job, missy! You are making progress, see? Fat doesn't always come off in the obvious areas. Wouldn't it be great if we could pick the areas we wanted plump and the areas we wanted slim? I would love to have a lil' more junk in the trunk. As it is, I have a white-girl "pancake" butt. Could you lend me some booty? Great work! Keep it up ![]() | |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 6 | But JJ if I lend it to you I have to take it back! Will you have Cinderella butt that comes home to me at midnight? "Sorry, I have to get home before my butt falls off."I was disappointed that my size 20 pants still fit just fine, but I took measurements and lost through my bust, chest, high hip, arms, wrists, thighs and calves. I lost almost 4 inches this month - now, that's .25 inches from a lot of different tiny measurements but still! I've been working on keeping on track and planning ahead. I know I may not see 199 by Sept 11 since I'm still around 215. But I just refocused on seeing 208 by Sept 11, making my 50 pounds lost goal. I have a backup dress ready just in case, or I could wear my corset and a white skirt. I'll take pictures either way. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 6 | I want to be able to spend an hour doing cardio, 6 times per week and lift four times. What I can do is 40 minutes of cardio, 5-6 times a week and three lifts. And that's okay. It's still huge. Also, I'm only taking one course my final semester (although it is writing my thesis) so I'm planning to spend those 12 weeks busting my behind, probably hiring a trainer and committing to 100% clean eating plus 9-10 hours a week of working out. At that point I should be able to handle both the time and the physical effort. Right now I'm still being careful with my leg because I need to be able to help with the move. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 6 | I tried on a size 18 bridesmaid gown today. And it fit. I guess my dream of wearing a size 16 to my best friend's wedding November 4th *isn't* out of reach. The dress I tried on today was from a wedding a few years back when I was almost 20 pounds lighter than I am now, I think. Sure, my belly showed a little but that's more a question of cut than fit - bigger wouldn't be any better with all that drapey fabric. Next week I'm going to David's to pick out my dress for November and I'm thinking I'll be able to buy an 18 and have it taken in... or perhaps I'll go ahead with the 16? I don't know! But I'm excited about it either way. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 6 | Thanks for asking - yesterday was nicht so gut to butcher the German. I caught a stomach flu Wednesday night - my Thursday cardio was fine, but my focus was poor and I got behind on homework. Yesterday I was too weak/headachy to exercise at all, and I managed to finish one more assignment putting me at about 66% done for the week. Unfortunately it's all due by midnight tonight. I'm almost 75% done with my homework now, but I won't be able to make up the lift from yesterday. I am taking breaks throughout the day to walk briskly for 10 minutes - it isn't as good as my normal 40 minutes fasted in the morning, but I feel that I'm at least not falling behind on my health today even if I'm not moving forward. Tried on more clothing to cheer myself up - even though I haven't lost "weight" since last month really, I'm thinner all over. Most 18s fit although some are tight around the hips where I store most of my weight. A few 16W items fit fine until I sit down LOL so that's going to have to wait for a bit. I'm thinking I will buy a size 18 dress and have it taken in if needed. That's a safe bet and I promised to buy a dress by the end of this month. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 6 | JJ: I am considered 60% disabled by the VA for various medical conditions that I'd rather not discuss but yes, I get sick very easily and it is hard for me to recover. I was working full time and going to school full time and I started getting ill and not getting better between bouts - getting sick for 1-3 days, twice a month is actually a huge improvement. I'm worried about move stress, homework stress and weight loss stress and I unfortunately know that weight loss has to come at the end of that list. I'm working with my husband on how to get some mental space even though I'll spend most of the break between quarters moving. He wants me to consider taking next semester off or going half time, but that would be a problem financially because my aid is based on full time school. We'll see. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 6 | Thank you. I feel self-concious sometimes being so sick at my age, but as you said the Army wasn't easy on me. This is about more than losing weight for me - this is about reclaiming health for my whole body and mind, the health that I had and lost as a result of the choice I made to join the Army. Being called "disabled" really hit me hard and I'm still recovering my mojo. For a while I was scared the VA would take away my money (I do get disability benefits) if I "got better" so I just kept getting sicker and working myself harder... and now I feel that if I can find my health that would be worth more than any stipend they could possibly pay me. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 6 | Just a note to say I'm still slogging along although the homework load is crazy and the move is approaching too fast. I'm having to redo an assignment from last week where the instructions were vague - I'm annoyed by the work but the alternative is getting a truly shitty grade I don't deserve. I've decided that I'm going to aim for working out 6-7 times per week instead of 9, and if that means giving up cardio one day to hit the weights or weights on a crazy day (but still doing cardio) so be it. So far I've worked out every day this week - 40 minutes of fasted cardio twice and Chest/Back/Abs today at the gym. Tomorrow I'll aim for cardio OR legs depending on time. I'll try to post my workout tomorrow. I'm thinking that in Florida I may aim to take a few classes instead of my cardio so I have a reason to get out of the house every day and meet people. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 6 | This weekend was insane - we put up the treadmill so my dad would have room for his air mattress, but he forgot it. So now there is an ass ton of books and boxes beneath my treadmill. Did I get to the gym and otherwise stay on track? No. I just barely slept, ate something once in a while and remembered to shower. The workload is getting to me and now my husband's work is shuffling the trip (that was supposed to start tomorrow) around and they don't know when it will be... maybe next week, maybe this Wednesday, maybe I won't be going... I started feeling sick to my stomach when Tony told me these things. I thought it was all nailed down already. I've changed focus again and I'm just trying to maintain through October 1 (when we are finished moving) and not get sick. I'm going to focus on finding faster meals that are still healthy (if not exciting) and maybe throw some money into a professional massage. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 6 | I was in Florida on a trip with my husband - business, not pleasure. Spent the whole week doing homework in the hotel and eating out at restaurants (no fridge). I didn't take pictures. I don't know if I'm going to continue with the contest because I won't be able to exercise consistently until early October. This is the final week of my quarterly schedule and I'm just swamped with homework and move preparations so I apologize if I'm not making a whole lot of sense. |
