IMPC Category Clarification

Ok - so I'm 99% sure I'm entering this year... just waiting to hear from a potential partner. I'll probably do the MIP and Open BB'ing.

Can someone please clarify the categories - specifically whether or not there will be separate women's divisions. From my count in the various threads, there are at least six women interested in competing.

Also, since folks indicated their interest in several different threads, how about folks "repost" their interest in this thread so we (ok, I) will know who's in which spot. I can't keep it all straight.

MIP - no rules, best transformation wins.

Thanks, Tim! I would wonder if having a separate women's division would be good if we have enough register... just thinking. Anyway, I'd still like to know who's entering what.

Part of the reason I decided to keep things unisex this year is that it becomes a bit much to ask companies donating prizes to spring for prize packages for six divisions. Chances are the prizes would not be as substantial.

We also just don't have enough competitors to warrant more divisions, especially with the high percentage of people who inevitably drop out. Look at what happened with the women's figure division last year... we wound up with only one person finishing. That's why I saw no reason to have that division this year. To keep things competitive, we must have competitors!! Simple as that.

That's good to hear! I think the open division will be a very serious competition and you'll be a great addition to the mix.

Ok, got that out of my system. My goal? FINISH!

Give Dawn a big welcome - she's great and my partner in this endeavor... now, hopfully we can get my wife to do the MIP and it will be a three way team! (ok, I know... you guys will have fun with that one). :whistling:

Welcome to the IMPC Dawn! Glad to see some new faces here. I think DawnMarie and I know Clownjugs are in for MIP also. We need more people. The deadline is coming up real soon to enter.
