I took quite a few pictures. I took 3 pictures on each pose with my lens flare lighting which all had to be discarded. Then I took 3 pictures on each pose with the lighting I ended up using in the end. I think from there I glanced at the pictures and had to retake a few on abdominal and thigh and front lat spread.

And yeah, I had the 10 second timer - run to spot and flex technique as well.

Oh yeah, and after pigging out on the weekend I started my low carb day on monday but I had all this left over, no sodium steak so I was eating that up. I was eating that till tuesday mid afternoon and all of a sudden I started cramping up soooo bad right before snowboarding. I was so confused until I thought about the foods I ate. I had nearly no sodium since monday morning!

Once I got the ski resort I went to their cafeteria, grabbed two packets of salt and downed them and then a bunch of water. Cramps were gone in 5 minutes.

Why not? If I get my shoulder fixed up and I'm good for training...

Great job everybody. I must state that lighting, color and pictures did change placings on my judge scoresheet.

If you look at the judging, you can make this very interesting observations: some competitors are all over the place and some others are very consistent from judge to judge.

I can tell my "lighting" was terrible because I didn't have lighting. I just took pictures in the morning and the only light came from the flash from the camera. I need to find a better set up and actually have lights next time around.

I can't wait for next year already!!! It's gonna rock!! I'd buy stock in red bandana manufacturers if I were you.

I had about 55 pics, did 8 of one pose, lol. Jim has shaky hands, he doesnt realize it but he does. Next time Im having my girlfriend take pics as she takes awesome photos. Or maybe get a new tripod!!!!!

Our lighting was fluorescent above head, 4 light fixture, subject stood a few feet behind the light ,I also had a screen of 6 inches on the side of the lighting to take glare off the face, we had very soft side lighting to help create a more dramatic effect. Next time, Im going dream tan !!!! This pro tan zillion coats is for the birds! Im still doing laundry trying to get it all out, its in my hair too and WONT come out, Im gonna have to bleach it again to get it out, lol I really liked the posing suits they were very cheap from bb.com and I felt it fit good considering it was off the shelf! Jims fit perfect, although he was complaining it smashed his jewels

Madman, maybe next time shave off all your facial hair including your eyebrows You looked like Mr. Bean after being on the beach to long But dude, You look totally awesome and Im very happy for you! But that wont stop me from beating you next time

My photos were a disaster. I actually looked better a month ago.

Everything that could go wrong did. We had a birthday party going on at the same time.

- Pro Tan sucks!
- Lighting was completely messed up
- I was carb deleted - I came in flat, especially legs which looked like I didn't train them at all.
- I didn't pump except for about 40 pushups
- My backdrop wasn't setup the way I wanted it
- And only only hit a few shots for each
- And, I was at least 10 lbs too heavy. No amount of dehydrate was going to tighten me up completely.

But - it was a huge learning experience. And I can determine how each factor got messed up and how I can fix it.

The one important part for me is that this was an excellent test for getting ready for a real contest. If I had not done this, then I might have ended up doing the same thing for a real contest - and I wouldn't have wanted to step on stage in that condition!

I think my cutting was on schedule, but I needed to be more consistent with cardio, reduce portions on some of the meals when I was really hungry, and avoid cheats more. I think I gave myself enough time though. I also should not have gotten as heavy as I did which peaked at 215 lbs. This time around I'll eat and train at the same rate, but I'll be cutting out the high fat / garbage carb foods that I allowed during the bulk the last time. I don't want to add on any unnecessary fat.

From 180, I am back up to 187 today.

Congrats to Viper though. He pulled it out on all levels. When I saw your leg conditioning, I knew I lost.

I took over 400 pictures. Only about 250 were actually decent, the others were of me getting into poses, kinda half-in, half-out or not smililing/making a dumbass face. I probably spent 3 hours posing and snapping pictures.

I'm interested in how quickly you regain your strength. I'm hoping mine will come back quickly with a caloric surplus. The last time I cut down really low and was carb deleted, I made a major rebound within a few weeks and was stronger than ever.

Keep in mind, I didn't do the typical contest prep experience of cutting for 12-16 weeks, it was actually 35 because I was so flabby at the beginning. Such an extended cut will cause more strength loss. I probably lost 10 lbs of muscle along with the 40+ lbs of fat I lost, which really isn't that bad for such a dramatic weight drop. I did lose some strength, but not as much as I feared I would; I think in 2 months I'll be back where I was. I don't want to risk injury so I'll be starting fairly conservatively with the weights. My goal is to increase weights by 2.5% each week. I am of the opinion that small weight increases are very helpful in making consistent, lengthy progress.

What were you benching prior to starting, and at present?

I use that as a guideline since I know it is where my strength loss is most dramatic and measurable.
