I think that is a great idea. Remember if you are cutting, your goal is to lose fat and maintain muscle (gain muscle if possible, but I don´t count on it anymore). I usually try to work on strength building while I am cutting. (No extra calories to build muscle.) Then when I bulk, I have more strength to regain muscle lost and gain new muscle. There are lots of ways to do this. Doing one muscle group per day is one of them. When you do this, remember to periodize. That means to change exercises, sets, weights used, rep ranges often to keep your muscle responding to new demands.

My last low on 8/08/2006 was 167.5 lbs.

Cutting until I am lean
Starting weight: 190 lbs. bodyfat: 19.7%
November 27th: 183 lbs. bodyfat: 18.3% bodyfat
Goal Weight: 176 lbs with no more than 10% bodyfat

Hi Everyone,
Well i've decided to take a few days off from weight lifting..i think i puilled a muscle in my neck/shoulder the other day. I might need to take my weigh down a bit..i think i'm shoulder pressing to much. I increased my dumbbells from 20 to 25 pounds each..today i did my step bench for 40 minutes and tomorrow i will run ..

Hello Everyone,
Had a great run this morning 6.68 miles and man it was cold 30*...yikes..lol..
I'm going to wait until Tuesday to lift again..My neck is feeling better today..i think it was the pull ups that did it..

Feeling better today. Can't wait until Tuesday when i can lift again. Think i'll take the weight down a bit.
Today's Workout
Ran 8.01 miles at the lake...very cold about 25* but atleast the sun was out.
Tomorrow's run will be 8-10 miles
