| Silver Member | Finally able to get to the gym, i was sure that after a week my lifts would be sad, well to my astonishment they did not. i only worked on chest tonite and am going to work triceps on a different nite. so workout was about an hour but i took my time between sets. i had a good holiday and hope everyone else did also. Chest Bench: 205x9, 2x225x7, 2x245x5, 270x2(PB for reps and beat last weeks weight), 225x6, 235x3(slow and strict) Incline: 225x4, 205x6, 195x8, 185x9 well thats it but i am concentrating on raising my bench and so far although probably unorthodox what i am doing seems to be working, so until i start to stall i will be doing this. I might add in another compound lift to work on chest night any suggestions would be appreciated. hope everyone has a great week. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | I am new with iron mass. I'm a 51 yr old man and spent the last 7 yrs in prison. I spent 5 yrs lifting without any workout program. I would like to find a routine that involves weight training mixed with a fair amount of cardio. Could anybody direct me to a routine that fits these requirements? |

| Silver Member | okay shoulders and legs tonight, started my shoulder routine first and went to do my militaries and i felt a little tinge of pain and slight burning sensation between where the deltoid and bicep comes together. so i kept the weight low and did my sets. went to do some side lateral raises with some 25's(low weight to start with) and OWWWWW. the pain shot through my whole arm, i felt a slight pulling sensation in the above stated region. well D**n, just when things are looking good an injury comes along. i believe i overstressed the area doing biceps last night and may have possibly caused a SMALL tear. It only really hurts though when stress is put on it. so i then accepted the fact and did my leg routine. man i hate when my body slaps me into submission:boink: ! okay anyway heres what i did tonite:shoulders Militaries: 4x135x8 Legs squats(ATF): 185x10, 205x10, 225x10, 245x6 Leg press: 4x340x10(wide foot placement) yep thats it, will do hammies and calves another day. pitiful but after the injury thing i didn't feel much like pushing it. hope everyone has a great day. |

| Silver Member | okay last week i complained of a possible tear in my bicep/shoulder connection and i didn't lift any after leg day. well over the few days since the pain has gone away and i doubt it was a tear(hurt like hell at the time). i find it hard to believe that it would have healed that quick, must have been a strain. anyway it didn't affect my training tonite at all so i had a pretty good nite. My workout partner came back and that really had my motivation up. chest Bench: 205x10, 245x7,265x4,275x1(shoulda gone for 2) incline: 225x5(inc. of 1 rep), 220x5, 215x6, 205x7 triceps pushdowns: 4x150x10 bench dips: 2x90x20, 135x15 skullz: 90x10, 110x10,130x8, 150x6 thats it. all in all pretty good workout. hope everyone had a great new years day and that you have a great week this week. |
