Great you decided to join the IMPC! My gf is a member here (dnyc99) and she was like you when it came to joining last year but in the end she was really glad she did it because looking back she was really proud of how far she progressed over the months. It's a great motivator to say the least. Good luck. ![]() | |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | Hi everyone! Thanks for all the warm welcomes and smiles! I am happy to be here. Tonight I walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes. I wanted to go longer, but my friend could only go 30 and so we stopped earlier than usual. I'm actually taking a two-week break from lifting to try and get rid of some muscle issues. I've been having lots of wierd inexplicable pain in my legs over the last several months, and haven't been able to figure out what's going on. My hubby found out that apparently my cholesterol medication has a common side effect of causing muscle pain. In fact, it can even cause severe muscle damage in some people. And for people who exercise and lift weights, it delays muscle recovery by up to a week. So...long story short, by taking this prescription, I'm damaging my own muscles! Incredible... So now I've kicked the medication to the curb and am focusing on cardio and trying to repair my muscles. Next week I will visit my doctor and see if maybe I don't need the drug anymore - I've always had really low cholesterol until about 4 years ago when I tried the Atkins diet for a couple of months and was eating lots of meat and cheese and eggs. All of a sudden my cholesterol shot up... (Duh...) But for the past year or so my diet has been relaly clean and I'm hoping I don't need that junk anymore. So...that's about it for tonight. Again, thanks for the welcomes. ![]() |
