Needless to say, I made sure she became a close friend... ... I was hoping I could help her, but it's been the other way around... I'd learned that after bearing 3 wonderful children, she reached 300 pounds... After taking an honest look in the mirror, she began the Atkins method with great results... But her life changed when she wrapped her hands around a barbell... Maybe that hard piece of iron remynded her of her husband, because she fell in love and has never stopped lyfting weights... I may refer to Pammie~J, as Mrs. McGyver... because her motto is - Use what you got until you get what you need!! ... In thys regard, I found it amazing when I learned she sets her barbell on paint buckets and uses it for rack deadlyfts... That's creativity!!! ... When you include that with her infectiously motivating and endless enthusiasm, you get one helluva woman!!! So, let's follow her journal as she becomes an inspiration to others and remains living proof that it's never too late to start... and ... women can lose weight by lyfting heavy too!!! | Pink Members | heheheh awwww dawg youre the best...thanks for starting me a journal....since i was so impatient i started my own but youre gonna delete it!!! hahahaa.... ill rewrite what i wrote in there in here for all to read.... OK....welcome to my newest journal! its a pleasure to see so many familiar faces in this forum already...and very very kewl to see a bunch i do not know as well! i am looking forward to getting to know you all! i am currently doing Chad Waterbury's ABBH program from T-Nation....so far so good! its kicking my ass BIGTIME and i love it! once i complete it i will be moving on to something different... i like to keep my body guessing as much as possible. suggestions and/or ideas are always welcome here!! i just got in from doing my morning HIIT...had my protein shake and fish oil and about 30 min later i was out the door and killing myself! hahaha can anyone say DRY HEAVE? holy gawd these monday HIITs kick my ass!!! :bigthumbu yesterday was my cheat day!! it wasnt even a very exciting cheat day either dammit....LOL...i find now that i am allowing myself to have one day a week to eat whatever i am craving i no longer crave things like i used to. VERY AWESOME! PROGRESS!!!!! today is my low carb day....i love low carb days...i can have cheese! hahaha....im thinking a little steak w/ broccoli and cheese sounds delightful...we'll see..... i also have tons to do around this pig sty of a house today...ive been sooo lazy this last week and now i am faced with craploads of laundry and trash everywhere i look....DRAG! :sucks: ...but if i dont do it NO ONE will......i swear i think my family could live in a trash heap and never even notice it! :usehead: :evil: hahah little piggies.....(gawd i love these little emoticons)....soooooooo i guess im outta here and gonna get my ass in gear! ill be back a little later to peek into a few journals and say hello... :fruity: tonight i will lift weights....good thing its upper body today...my quads are still screaming from my workout saturday! :bier: LOVEEEE IT! |

| Pink Members | ahhh yes of course...same way its always been.... bwhahahaa ok so heres a few pics i took today...remember i am still quite FAT...213lbs...but im working on all that slow and steady! i also forgot to mention in my intro that i work out at home. i have a weight bench, barbell with weights, and adjustable dumbbells....i am currently trying to get the hubster to build me a cable pulley system so i can do pulldowns etc etc but its taking him forever...i might end up doing it myself dammit..... :bigthumbu like dawg said, i am very happy making things work for me if i dont have the equipment i need...i use those big 5 gallon paint buckets to set my barbell on for my rack pulls...they set the bar right about knee level...perfect! i also do not have a squat rack, so i use my weight bench for this as well...simply load up the barbell and set it on the weight bench racks....sit under bar....get it on my traps, stand up and move away from the weight bench! perfect! heheheee...right now its working for me so im kewllllllll! ok heres a few pics of ME....YUCK...hahahhaaa...but i figured ya'll should at least be able to see who i am if ya wanna be friends aye>? heheh |

| Pink Members | thanks beast! i appreciate all the support i can get! great to meetcha! ok! i just completed my lifting workout for today....did Day 13 ABBH and omggggggg it kicked me dead square in the ass tonight! its amazing how much weaker i am during TOM....what a pain in the ass to be a woman during these days... but at least i got the workout done! yay me! hehehehee( OMG i LOVE these emoticons! some of them are too freakin funny!! was this one made just for me? LOVE IT!!!!)anyhooooooo....heheheee......heres the workout: Day 13 ABBH chest/back 65% 1RM load 60 sec rest intervals between each 5x10 A1: pushups: BW A2: bench pullups: BW A3: bench dips: BW A4: db pullovers: 32.5lbs A1-A4 until all 5 sets of 10 are completed. ok...although im supposed to increase my weights a little on these from the 60%1RM load last week to 65% load this week, the only thing i can increase is the db pullovers. the rest of them i can only do with my own body weight, so this will have to do for now until i get stronger. the pushups are womens style...but i make a point to go all the way to the floor and i feel these things sumfin CRAZY! the bench pullups are harder than ****...can i say that in here?? LOL...i swear i thought i might DIE doing these tonight....for safety purposes i have been using the kids bunkbed for these instead of the barbell on the bench....the bunkbed is perfect for these as i can lay halfway under it and pull myself up from there...theres no way in hell i could do pullups any other way so i am proud of myself for getting done what i got done....whew! the dips are also an exercise from hell....i do these with the bench ....with my feet out and on a bucket....i go all the way down to my pits and then back up. i swear tonight i thought that first set was just gonna kill me....all the other sets felt a lot better though and i am feeling like i am finally getting better at these than a few months ago. the db pullovers are easy...they arent half as hard as the other exercises i did tonight, so i was always really happy to get around to them......at least until i got the db caught up under the edge of the bench once...shmacked my wrist pretty good on the dumbbell, but didnt do any kind of serious damage....hurt like a bitch at first but its ok now.... and thats the workout! did my HIIT this morning and got my lifting done tonight so i am stoked! tomorrow is cardio only... here my menu for today...it was a very successful low carb day... meal 1: wakeup protein shake+6 fish oil meal 2: 5 oz turkey breast, 1 serving swiss cheese, 1 Tbs dijon mustard, 1 oz. SF bread & butter pickles meal 3: 1 can water packed tuna, 1 Tbs mayo, 1 oz. SF bread & butter pickles meal 4: 6 oz. boneless skinless chicken breast, 1 can green beans, 2 slices tomatoe, 2 slices onion, 1 Tbs mayo, 1 raw habenero pepper meal 5: POST WO protein shake meal 6: 1/2 c. cottage cheese, 1.5 oz. almonds Total: 1523 Fat: 70 632 43% Sat: 5 49 3% Poly: 13 121 8% Mono: 9 78 5% Carbs: 38 110 7% Fiber: 11 0 0% Protein: 184 738 50% Alcohol: 0 0 0% have a fantastic evening ya'll! ill see ya tomorrow! |

| Pink Members | morning! oh wait...its almost noon...heheheheeee.....AFTERNOON! oh lookie lookie i get my name in RED now since i donated last night to this kick ass site...yipppeeeeee! i must be something special now....hehehehe...KEWL.... well its too freakin hot to go out and try to do HIIT at this point so i think ill do it later tonight....or perhaps i might switch up and just take a really long walk...who knows....all i do know at this point is that its a lifting rest day and i have so much shtuff to do around here its like i didnt even do anything yesterday like i said i would...hahahaaaaaaa.....(oh wait...thats right...i DIDNT.... :sucks: ).....still massive amounts of laundry to do...yuck i hate doing laundry! but i knew last night when hubby was sniffing his clothes to see what was clean and what wasnt that id better get off my ass and get to it today! hes sweet not to complain but its only a matter of time...LMAO..... tonight we have to go to my youngest kiddos orientation for first grade...he'll get to see who his teacher is and all that....fun stuff for him...i cannot believe school starts in a mere 6 days!this is so wonderful! hehehe this means ill be back to doing my workouts in the afternoons when i am ALONE...and that i will have my mornings and afternoons to MYSELF...gots ta love THAT! i passed the word around about this site yesterday...i dunno if anyone i told will actually come in and post a lot but i tried! ill keep mentioning it where ever i go too....the potential here is amazing! good peeps! ok..ok...id better go for now.....love to you all! |
