it was a slow day today...i am SO SORE from the workout yesterday i decided to take today off from working out! my back...top...middle and lower are suuuuper sore! gotta LOVE DOMS but im a little concerned about the pain i have in my lower back, left side...feels a little more painful than DOMS...but we will see....i wasnt in pain at all after the workout....only today....so it might just be that i really worked the hell outta it and its just now getting me back!

eating was a little higher carb today...not crap though...i had 4 glasses of milk throughout the day and 1.5 c. brown rice with my steak and salad tonight. normally i wouldnt add in a starch but tonight i did. im not too concerned...everything else was fine...

bedtime!

i hurt my back a little bit so i am taking a few days off. nothing serious but there is pain so i dont want to make things worse by lifting. i will just concentrate on keeping my diet clean and will do cardio on the exercise bike for the rest of this week. monday we will re-evaluate!

Take care of your back, PJ. Don't worry about the starch, you should have some at least once a week to kick start your metabolism and keep your thyroid active. Otherwise your body gets used to your deit and will try to go back to a base level and hold fat

i had the WORST NIGHT EVER! UGH! my back started this weird cramping up thing all night long....kinda like it wanted to go into a charlie horse feeling depending on what position i was in....and even in a half assed comfortable position it would start to cramp up after only a few minutes without me moving....terrible night....man it sucked sooooo bad.....i tossed and turned.....i finally got up around 3am and rubbed myself down with muscle rub....took some ibuprofen...NOTHING seemed to help....and even now as i sit here the other NON INJURED side is starting to have sympathy pains!

i just dont get it! i was feeling SO MUCH better...

i wonder if the positions i sat in yesterday watching football and drawing were whats up....i was feeling extremely creative so i started drawing one of my "pammiedoodles"...these take FOREVER to draw...i sat in bed leaning over the paper and also watching football at the same time practically all day....it FELT like i was relaxing but obviously it screwed with my back....

NOT what i wanted! i feel like i am back to square one....UGH....

but its ok...i just have to stay focused....all i have to do is watch my eating and everything will be fine.....

thanks yall!!

whooooo i just got done with my workout!

i took it a little easy today but MAN ARE MY LEGGIES SORE ALREADY!

Quad dominant w/ biceps:

squats: 135x5x3
db lunges: 20x5x3
GMs: 135x8x2
barbell curls: 60x5x3
drag curls: 40x8x2
reverse drag curls: 40x8x2

cardio: none

i started with the squats....these felt GREAT....man i have missed working out soooo much....and YEP i missed those bitch ass squats! LOL
db lunges were BY FAR the hardest exercise for me today....walking lunges are way easier....but today i decided to torture myself and do stationary lunges....im glad i did....they were HARD!
GMs were the hammie accessory....gawd these felt GREAT! i LOVED the way my hammies screamed during these!!!
barbell curls were first for biceps....man these are still challenging at 60lbs but i made all 3 sets of 5 without any cheating! what a pump!
drag curls and reverse drag curls were next....both were AWESOME....

GREAT WORKOUT and no pain in my forearms OR back so far! WHOHOHOOOOOO!

i finally got my workout done! whohooooo!

Verticle Push/Pull:

close grip pulldowns pronated grip: 90x5x1, 105x5x2
close grip pulldowns suppinated grip: 105x5x3
db pullover: 58x8x2
military press: 90x4x1, 85x5x2
db standing shoulder press: 28x8x2

cardio: 0

all the pulldowns went fine....i started lighter than usual just because i was injured but everything felt fine so i increased up to 105 and stuck with it....they all felt really good.
db pullover was AWESOME! i can definitely increase this weight next week....the 58lbs was a LOT more challenging the last time i did it! yay!
military press was challenging today! the first set with 90lbs didnt go up easy....i only popped out 4....my forearm also started to ache a little even though i had it wrapped so i lowered by 5 lbs and was able to get the last 2 sets of 5 no prollem.
db standing shoulder press was next....i was able to do all 2 sets of 8 no prollem but i did feel it in my forearm...nothing too painful but still something....ill watch that...

didnt do any cardio because time is limited tonight...im already late getting the dinner going! ack!

I'm away for a bit and what do I see, but a smiling avi. Be careful with the back and keep doing what you can do.

WOW the site DOES exist! yay! i thought it was gone forever!

thinsg are fine here...my back is all healed up and my weights are back on the rise...i spent a few weeks going on and off plan but i am back on solid and only 3 lbs to work off due to the screwing off...haha....but thats nothing....ill be making some more serious gains in strength and loss in weight and inches before we know it!

i just finished a workout!

Horizontal Push/Pull:

T-Bar rows: 160x2x1, 160x5x3
BB rows: 150x5x3 <-PR!
flat bb bench press: 120x3x5
incline bb bench press: 85x8x2
standing calf raises: BWx10x2

cardio: 40 minutes

WHEW! i started out with T-bar rows....since my forearm is still aching i am not doing rack pulls...ill get back to those soon though...i miss them though...
all the T-bars went great except the very first set....my forearm hurt like a BITCH after the second rep so i stopped and put straps on for the other 3 sets. with straps i have no prollems....without them i cant do 2 reps without pain...stoopid forearm...thank gawd for straps! i also rigged up a new bar for the t part of my tbars....since i use a barbell loaded up on one side with the other side shoved into the dirt loaded with weights on top i have to use a small dumbbell bar for my t....i took the rubber part off of another dumbbell and added it to the dumbbell bar i use for my tee so now its padded on both sides where i grab with my hands...worked great! with straps i just wrap them around the little dumbbell bar and then cross under the barbell and hook onto the bar.....scoot legs back a little so the weights dont hit them on the way up and whalah....t-bar rows w/ straps...yay!
bent over rows were AWESOME...150 is a PR for me! rock on! my forearm hurt after these even WITH straps....argh...but not TOO bad....it doesnt hurt anymore, just aches...
flat bb bench was challenging for me today...but i made it through all 5 sets of 3...whew...
incline bb bench was easier for me this week than last week....i scooted way up under the barbell to unrack the barbell and then scooted back down a little and got to it....i used slow movements today and realllllly felt it! awesome!
standing calf raises at BW for the last lifting exercise....
after that i got busy moving these blocks we have in our yard....i moved a huge stack of small 20lb blocks to by the back door so we can make the back porch with them....then i moved these HUGE 50-or-more lb blocks down the side of the mobile home as the sidewalk that wraps around the house...i did this for 40 minutes until i had had enough!

GREAT WORKOUT!
