i didnt do the workout tonight...by the time i got to the grocery store and dinner cooked it was dark and honestly i didnt feel like working out by then....besides...my tummy is a tad upset....nothing serious....and....i am simply TIRED!

what a day!

this morning while i was running errands for my neighbor my suburban started acting up so i switched to our little white car....this one hasnt been being driven because the tags are out but i didnt have any other choice so i took the chance of getting pulled over and drove it....it does have insurance so i knew if i did get a ticket it would be dropped as soon as i got my tags....anyhoooo....after running a few errands in that car i stopped at the dollar store to get candy for the kids to smuggle into the theater...haha.....when i came out to leave the damn car wouldnt start! ack! luckily this guy was leaving when i was and saw my predicament....asked if i wanted a jump...we got it running and i took the car home and i called hubby...he told me to set it up on the battery charger....which i did while we were getting ready for the movies...when we went out to get in and leave it started right up so we figured everything was fine and got on the road....we drove all the way to katy and got about 1 mile from the theater when the car died and wouldnt start again! this time i was smack in the middle of the road! i got out and started pushing the car while still steering...lol....and then this truck pulled up and told me he would push me out of the way. i knew since i had a clutch that all i needed was a little push and i could pop it out of second and the car would start....so thats what i did and we made it to the theater in one piece! WHEW! i decided we would go in and enjoy the movie and when we came out we would worry about the car...hahah....

the movie was good! my youngest son didnt have as good a time because he wanted to see transformers...but i told him next week we will see that!

after the movie we went out and the car started right up! yay! hahah!! we made it home and i cleaned up the kitchen and got dinner started...by now it was 7pm and i knew it was getting dark and i wouldnt want to go outside to workout later...ESP considering all the mosquitoes out there today!....so i went out and snagged the dumbbells and a few extra weights and decided i would do my workout after dinner once hubby was in bed.

sure enough i got right to it once he crashed! heres what i did:



Quad dominant w/ biceps:



db squats: 3x5 @ 50lbs

walking lunges: 3x5 @ BW

db deadlifts: 2x8 @ 50lbs

db curls: 3x5 @ 20lbs

db drag curls: 2x8 @ 15lbs



post lifting cardio: 15 minutes



i started with the db squats....i used the 50lb dbs and really got a KILLER burn in my quads! MUCH more so than when i do barbell squats! WTF? i was screaming by that third set! hehe! awesomeee!

walking lunges totally trashed my glutes! i can feel DOMS in them already and after the 3rd set i had wobbley legs!

db deads were the hammie accessory....man i forgot how much better db deads hit my hammies than barbell deads!...i guess ill have to continue to alternate between the two!

db curls were next....i used nice slow movements on these and really felt like i worked my biceps good!

i havent ever tried to do drag curls with dbs but tonight i did and WOW....krazy! they were AWESOME!

immediately following the workout i hopped on the exercise bike for 15 minutes....this time i increased the resistance a little....



man i feel GREAT!!!!



id better get off the computer soon....the kids want to get online! ill be back in the morning!!

i just finished my very first HIIT on the exercise bike! i did intervals of 1 minute as fast as i could and then 2 min steady state....5 sets! i am sweating like CRAZY! whohoooooo!

i slept good!

i woke up way early this morning and got my 20 minutes on the exercise bike done on empty...now we are out the door to go see my hubbys son, fiancee and the granbaby! yay! then we will stop in at the grocery store and buy food! yay!

OMG you know it! our grandbaby is sooooo super cute too! hes just started crawling....omg thats sooooo cute!!!
he's 10 months old and perfect of course!
my youngest is just about to turn 9 so its been about 4 years since i had a little one around!

whohooo i just finished my workout!

heres what i did:

Verticle Push/Pull:
back/shoulders/calves

narrow grip pulldowns: 1x5 ~ 110lbs, 2x5 ~ 105lbs
rear pulldowns: 2x8 ~ 70lbs
db pullover: 1x8 ~ 60lbs <--PR! 1x8 ~ 55lbs
military press: 3x5 ~ 85lbs!
front raises: 2x8 ~ 40lbs

post wo cardio: 15 minutes

i started with the pulldowns...i was a bit slow getting started....i didnt want to lift honestly but i knew i needed to do it no matter what i felt like...haha....im not sick or anything was just feeling lazy....but i got my head straight and got to it! the 110lbs felt a little too heavy today...maybe cuz i hadnt had all that much to eat today....so i lowered to 105lbs for the last 2 sets and they went perfectly.
rear pulldowns were next....70lbs is perfect right now for this exercise....nice burn!
db pullover was next...by now i was starting to feel really good....i loaded up the dumbbell with 60lbs and went for it for the first set! OMG the last 2 reps were SHEER DETERMINATION! if i had had to do even one more rep i would have failed! i lowered to 55lbs for the last set....it was also challenging after that first set but not as much obviously! 60lbs is a PERSONAL RECORD on my db pullover!! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
military press was next...i was totally pumped after the db pullover so i decided to push myself and loaded the barbell with 85lbs.....did all 3 sets of 5 with that! it was CHALLENGING!
front raises were next....holy shitsky they were challenging at 40lbs! by the end of these my shoulders were TRASHED! YEAHHH!!!
calf raises were last....i did 3x15 ~ BW....

immediately after the wo i hopped on the exercise bike for 15 minutes!

GREAT FREAKIN WORKOUT!!! heheheheeeee!!!!!

today was weigh and measure day! whoohoooo!

this last week i have lost 5lbs on the scale and 8 inches in various areas of my bod! YAY! heres where i have lost inch wise...

shoulders: .5
abs: 2.5!
waist: .5
hips: 2!
thighs: 1.5!
knees: .5
ankle: .5


i am SO STOKED about my progress to this point! theres no turning back now!! yay!
