morning!!

well its MONDAY and the start to my week 3! whohooooooo! hehehee....im so proud of myself for doing so well so far! feels great!

its almost time to go take the kiddos to school...then i will be back to weigh and measure and take body fat % etc...gotta get ready to start taking my Red Acid !!! i SO CANNOT WAIT! hopefully it will come in the mail today! yay!

That's good progress so far! The gain in inches in the chest and shoulders is a reflection of my trying to measure myself without help that first week. But I have help now, so I know the newest measurements are spot on!

I am pleased and encouraged by my losses to this point! I will continue as I have been and hopefully everything will keep dropping at this rate!

hiya Dex!!

Today's workout:
Hip/Hammie dominant w/ triceps:
SLDL: 1x8@149lbs, 4x8@144lbs
laying leg curls: 1x8@40lbs, 1x8@ 42.5lbs, 3x8@45lbs
leg extentions: 4x12@70lbs (quad accessory)
close grip bench press: 5x8@89lbs
bench dips: 5x8@BW
db one arm triceps extentions: 5x8@15lbs

OK..let's see...I started out with SLDL today. I decided to switch the exercises up every now and then so I dont get used to them yanno? anyhoo, I wasnt really sure what weight to use for reps of 8 for my SLDL so I guessed about 150lbs and went for it. I was able to get all 8 reps in pretty well, but my form was lacking...so I lowered the weight to 144lbs and went with that for the remaining 4 sets. I really felt these bigtime tonight....
leg curls were next...again, I experimented with the weights today...I started with 40lbs for the first set but they felt too easy....so I upped the weight to 42.5lbs and tried again....too easy...finally got up to 45lbs and this was perfect. I really got a helluva burn in my hammies during the last 2 sets today...when I stood up I even got a cramp! whohohoooo! hahaha
For my quad accessory exercise I chose leg extentions....I used a light weight for the higher reps and lemme tell ya...70lbs may not sound like much, but after the 3rd set of 12 your quads are screaming and crying! I just love that feeling you get when you ignore the pain and keep pumping...amazing...
ok...moved into triceps stuff next....
close grip benches went great today! Last time I was only able to get in 3 sets of 8 with the 89lbs and today I did all 5 sets of 8 with it! yay! I have to say though, by set 5 I was almost doubting myself...and those very last 2 reps had a few extra pauses in them for sure...hahaha
bench dips were next and they almost killed me tonight! MAN! I dont know if these things will EVER get easier! I do these off the weight bench with my legs out and up on a bucket...I lower to about my pits and back up...GAWD by the 4th set my shoulders were aching like crazy...almost hurting...I finished up that last set by scooting my legs a little further onto the bucket and it was a little easier on my shoulders. I wonder if I should try to keep my dips in small reps and sets due to this pain? I do fine with like 6 sets of 4 or even 5 sets of 5....
ok...last I did overhead db extentions. I used the 15lb db and even though this sounds embarrassingly light, its very challenging! I did very well though and Ill bet I can go for 17.5lbs next time.....( I feel like Ive said this before...maybe last week? hahahah)
Overall....good workout!

Menu for Day 15:

meal one:
can tuna + 1 Tbs mayo + 1/2 c. pineapple chunks + 1 sesamin + 1 multivitamin + 2 fish oil

meal two:
6 oz. lean beef steak + 1 can green beans + 1 small jalepeno

meal three:
4.5 oz lean ground beef + 1 c. lettuce + 1/2 small tomatoe + 1 medium slice onion + 1 corn taco shell + 4 Tbs picante sauce + 1 small jalepeno + 1 sesamin + 2 fish oil

meal four:
POST WO double protein shake

snack throughout the day:
hot tea + sweet n low + non dairy creamer

Macros for Day 15:
Total: 1584
Fat: 63 571 38%
Sat: 16 148 10%
Poly: 4 33 2%
Mono: 6 58 4%
Carbs: 85 310 21%
Fiber: 8 0 0%
Protein: 158 631 42%
Alcohol: 0 0 0%

Thoughts:
Today I allowed myself to have non dairy creamer in my hot tea! This added about 210 calories, 21 carbs, and 11g fat onto my macros for the day. I will NOT do this again. Its not worth it, although it was really nice to have a sweet, creamy cup of hot tea this afternoon a few times. But I will be back to hot tea w/ splenda and NO creamer tomorrow...LOL
I got my workout in late again tonight...the hubby and kids finally laid down around 9:30pm and I was up and at it! hehe...
as I was jumping out of bed hubby said " where ya goin?" and I said " gotta workout!" and he groaned and said " see ya tomorrow"...bwhahaahahaa....
I am really proud of how dedicated I am these days...it feels so good to be back on track and feeling confident again!

ok!! yay! its TUESDAY!

today Willy Wonka comes out on dvd...so does Christmas with the Kranks...hehe....guess what we'll be doing tonight?

i love the holidays!

i just realized yesterday how close turkey day actually is! GEEZ! today i will be researching online for a few new ideas for turkey day this year. i wanna cook up some good for ya stuff too, so if i decide to be better than i have been thinking i would be i can be! does that make any sense? hahah...seriously i might end up wanting to eat "basically" clean on thanksgiving with just a tiny smidgun of delicious bites of pie, etc. we will see

OH MY i feel good....i took my first dose of Red Acid about 15 minutes ago and all of a sudden i am getting this very sweet relaxed feeling! its kinda like i am alert and yet not jittery or crazy...just smoooooth. NICE! kewl deal...i like this feeling a lot!

hehehhee

later today i will lift horizontal push/pull! yay!

gawd i need to get into a few threads in here....ive been so selfish lately in my journaling its not even funny....been busy busy and then when i do go online its to my own stuff...gawsh...forgive me! i promise to make rounds today!

Ewww! Don't say Thanksgiving. Normally, I would just love the holiday but I have my entire family over and it ends up being about 50 people and it's making me tired just thinking about it. :p

I've not seen Willy Wonka -- Brian and Brian, Jr. did get to see it. I'm looking forward to seeing it on DVD. I told Brian, Jr. we could go check out Chicken Little tomorrow. He's 15 but he's like me and likes to check out new movies regardless. We liked "Chicken Run" a lot and I believe the same people made this movie. Or maybe that's Wallace and Grommet. Hmmm. I dont' know for sure. I'm just blabbering.

Horizontal Push/Pull
back/chest/calves
Rack pulls: 5x3@220lbs, 3x3@204lbs
T-Bar rows: 5x8@144lbs
Db rows: 5x8@45lbs ( failure on left arm on last 2 reps of last set)
Db incline bench press: 4x8@ 32.5lbs, 1x7@ 32.5lbs
Pushups: 8x5@BW
Incline db flyes: 5x8@20lbs
Standing calf raises: 5x8@BW

I started with the Rack pulls ...these were TOUGH! I got a totally kewl burn going with these on the first 5 sets of 3 and had to lower the weight a little to finish up the last 2 sets. Man I was sooooo glad to be done with these today!
T-bar rows followed...man I think these are starting to become one of my most favorite back exercises! I use the barbell loaded up on one side and wedge the other end up under the cabinet with two plates on either side to keep it from moving about...I straddle the barbell and pull UP and BACK and OMG are they challenging! Today I used 144lbs and I SWEAR I almost lowered the weight after the third set! hahaha....but then I decided to just try again....and I did the last 2 sets with the same weight. WAY KEWL!
Db rows were next...WOW I am so impressed that I used the 45lb db the WHOLE time today! YAY! hahaha....It felt really great to use that heavy thing! LOL...my right did great the whole time, but my left was weaker. I almost lost my grip on the 3rd set but maintained, but then lost it on the next set at the 7th rep...was able to get in the 8th rep immediately after. The LAST set however, I lost grip at 6th rep and could NOT get the db back up to squeeze out the last 2. NO WAY....I was done! haha
After that, I moved on to chest exercises .
Incline db bench press was first...I upped the weight this week from 30lb each db to 32.5 each db. I did great on these all the way until the very last rep in the very last set...hahaha....just couldnt seem to get that 8th rep in no matter how hard I concentrated! LMAO....I also was experiencing a slight pain in my right hand in between my thumb and pointer finger in that meaty area...felt like nerve pain...so I stopped at 7.
Pushups: were next. I started to do 5 sets of 8, but during the first set my right wrist started hurting...hmmmmm....I think I must have irritated my right hand/wrist area....nothing serious....I lowered the reps to 5 and forked out 8 sets of 5 on the pushups. They felt good and the ache in my wrist was minimal but increased each pushup after 5....
Incline db flyes were the last chest exercise. I like these. They felt really good today and I used slow, concentrated movements...really got a good burn going....
Standing calf raises were next...I just did these with my own BW today. I HELD at the top and bottom and OUCH...got a few cramps in between...hahaha

Overall it was a GREAT workout! I sweated BUCKETS!
