| Pink Members | well...just when i think i will be able to relax the phone rings...hahaha.... the neighbor lady needed a few things done...so i went over there and worked for a few hours...ran errands etc etc...just got home about an hour ago! i cooked myself something to eat, sat down here, and next thing i know an hour has zoomed by and its almost time to get the kids...damn! hahahah....so much for a quiet morning.... anyhooooo....so this has set back my workout a little bit...but no worries here...i know i will get it done before midnight...even if its 1 hour before! as you all know i love a late late workout as much as i love an afternoon workout....and since this will be LEGS, i think it will be good to have it later...i will be sure to have a little pre wo carbs today for a little help in the strength dept tonight...perhaps a 1/2 c. brown rice w/ dinner....damn i wish i had a sweet potatoe...i love love loveeeeee sweet potatoes. anyway...nothing major...just about 20g carbs or something usually does the trick. i dont want too many carbs though... last night me and my youngest kiddo had to make a turkey....it was a picture of a turkey and all the kids took one home to do as a family project yanno? they were supposed to use whatever things they had around the house to decorate it...then they were going to get prizes and hang them all out in the 1st grade hall for everyone to see....anyway...hahah....so we did this turkey....it turned out so kewl! we used these multicolored feathers that we bought from walmart, a few colored pompoms...colored pipecleaners, and glitter...it looks like art deco...its VERY neat... but anywayyyy...he kept saying " MOM! Let US help!" hahahaa apparantly i was doing it all myself.... cuz i was having so much fun doing it...hahahhaa...i finally said " oops sorry!" and relinquished the scissors and glue and let them do stuff too....LMAO...damn i swear im just a kid at heart...this is prolly why i like doing my doodles...its glorified crayon coloring...hahahhahaha gawd am i rambling? haha... this house is totally a mess...its amazing how fast it gets totally wrecked!! i spent all day cleaning just a few days ago didnt i?! UGH! ive been sitting here knowing i should get up and clean up, but i just dont wanna! cleaning sucks... well, ok...just about time to go get the kiddos...must pee and get something more "picking kids up from school" like on and get outta here.... ill be back soon!!! maybe i can bribe the kids into helping me clean once we get home... ....hahahha.... |

| Silver Member | thanks pammie for stopping by my journal, i go parallel due to the fact that i am using a smith machine. i tried going lower but it forces me in a uncomfortable groove so i just go parallel. i really concentrated on feeling every rep today. lol, the leg curls right now are my challenge, i don't think they are that weak but you couldn't tell it by the weight i am using. i try not to throw them up and keep a nice smooth, steady motion. thanks for stopping in and by the way nice pics, don't tell me u ain't made no progress(how do u like my southern accent). you look great and all i can say is ride'em cowboy, wink, wink. |

Yes, that fat number does sound weird. When I browsed around in the USDA database, various types of beef weren't coming up quite that high. E.G. Beef, round, outside round, bottom round, steak, separable lean and fat, trimmed to 0" fat, choice, cooked, grilled 6oz/170g = 14.11g Beef, tenderloin, separable lean only, trimmed to 0" fat, choice, cooked, broiled 6oz/170g = 15.54g Beef, top sirloin, separable lean only, trimmed to 0" fat, all grades, cooked, broiled 6oz/170g = 9.84g Beef, bottom sirloin, tri-tip, separable lean only, trimmed to 0" fat, choice, cooked, roasted Value per 170 grams = 16.54g Is fajita meat especially "marbley".

| Pink Members | Today's workout: Quad dominant w/ biceps back squats: 2x8@124lbs, 3x8@110lbs db lunges: 5x8@10lbs SLDL: 4x12@89lbs bb bicep curls: 5x8@54lbs drag curls: 1x8@39lbs, 4x8@34lbs hammer curls: 5x8@20lbs I started with back squats...the first 2 sets of 8 were extremely difficult... I made it through them though...LOL...but decided to lower the weight a little because my form wasnt looking all that great...the last 3 sets of 8 went a lot better..but OMG I almost failed a few times! These kicked my ass TOTALLY! db lunges were next...I used two 10lb db this time...man could I tell a HAYOGE difference in doing these with just body weight and with dbs! I seriously had to talk myself through these...those last 2 sets were TOTAL HELL...hahaa...TOTAL>>>UTTER HELL for my hammie accessory exercise I decided to do SLDL....lighter weights with the accessory exercise and higher reps, so I went with 4 sets of 12 with 89lbs...I admit at first I thought maybe 89lbs was a little too light, but after the first set of 12 I knew they would do just fine. I used nice, slow concentrated movement with these and tried to keep the barbell close to my body at all times. moved into bicep work next... bb curls were great! I started with 54lbs...this was challenging, but doable, so I stuck with it for all 5 sets of 8. by the last few sets I was really struggling, and had a hellacious burn in my biceps and back....wow good stuff! drag curls were next...I started with 39lbs on the bb, but after the first set of 8 I knew I needed to lower a little, so I took 5lbs off and continued on...just like the curls, by the last few sets I was really struggling, but I pushed through! I love that! hammer curls finished it up...I used 20lb dbs....was SO GLAD when I finally finished! GREAT workout! menu for Day 11: meal one: can tuna + 1 Tbs. mayo + 1 sesamin + 2 fish oil + 1 multivitamin meal two: 5 oz. chicken breast + 1 can green beans + 2 fish oil + 1 sesamin meal three: 3/4 oz. almonds meal four: 12 oz. chicken breast + 1/2 small head cauliflower + 1 sesamin + 2 fish oil meal five: POST WO protein shake + 1/4 c. oats Day 11 Macros: Total: 1748 Fat: 66 597 36% Sat: 13 118 7% Poly: 19 169 10% Mono: 13 113 7% Carbs: 42 122 7% Fiber: 12 0 0% Protein: 239 955 57% Alcohol: 0 0 0% one gallon water Thoughts: It was a great day!
