| Silver Member | thanks pammie u sweet thing. lol....thanks rasp and bill....i appreciate the kind words......heck there are no slouches here in the 30+ crowd...i think we have a great bunch representing this forum. rasp...when everything settles down and vacations are over and as we slowly ebb towards winter ....what about we pick an exercise that is mutually agreeable amongst us and pick a deadline and see how much we can improve in that exercise. we won't get all wrapped up in rules and stuff....just thought it would be something that everyone could strive to improve at....not a competition(yeah right...get more than one butthead involved and it turns into a competition). that includes our fine girl representatives here also. maybe record the initial start weight and then the ending(as well as regular updates when exercise is done) and then in the end ratio out who has improved in that exercise the most. just a thought... hope everyone has a great day tomorrow. |

| Silver Member | 6/25/2007 workout A2 week 2 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- smythe incline: LT n/a TT 230 @ 9,6, 3 smythe seated press: LT n/a TT 195 @ 6,6,3 incline tri ext.- tried these again to see if i could do em.....didn't do very well due to shoulder pain LT n/a TT 110 @ 10,10,8 lat pulldowns: again shoulder played a factor some..... LT n/a TT 140 @ 10,8,8 T-bars: by now my shoulder is killin me....but i rip some off at a reduced weight. LT n/a TT 215 @ 10.....................180 @ 20 so the shoulder is still an issue....but i am not gonna quit liftin and lose everything i have worked hard for. my next alternative is to lower all upper body stuff down in weight and not stress that shoulder and HOPE i can maintain what i have. this really sucks..........what a dumbass thing to do.....i knew better. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 299 | I had some shoulder issues myself and the best thing you can do is just drastically drop the weight, work on having perfect slow form and only do exercises that don't hurt when you do them. If you keep heavily stressing an injury you can easily ruin it for good. |
