163.2lbs this morning. No brekkie for me right now, since I am heading over to the Hospital to get my Lipids done. Will go over to the gym after that. Hope the Cholesterol went down some more. Plan on taking a BF Bar with me to the gym and a Protein shake.

Today is just Abs and Cardio

Ok, my cholesterol went up again from 220 the last time in January to 234 this time. I know it is because I haven't been taking my meds as I should have. I am also 10 points away from becoming Pre Diabetic, so I need to get my Shit together.

No more junk food for me. I need to start my Diet all over again and come clean. I am thinking about starting out with another fruit flush for the last few days of this weekend. Maybe that will get me jumpstarted again and I get the stupid weight back off that I gained these past few days.

I have to cram in todays and tomorrows workouts in today, since the kids will be out of school tomorrow and I wont get the chance to workout when they are around, plus I have a bunch of errands to run tomorrow anyway.

Had leg day today and felt like I could have gave it more. I need to make sure to up my weights next week since I am not feeling the burn anymore.

Tomorrow will be a skipped workout (too much stuff I have to do) and I will combine tomorrows workout with Wednesday's workout. Also eating tomorrow 5 meals nothing but fruits and lot's of water meal 6 Protein with Salad and the dressing again.

OK, day went as good as it could get, we got the Garage finished and are waiting for the paint on the floor to be fully dried so we can move the cars in.

Doc called me today and we tried to set an appointment for a Hysterectomy in mid June. SO I will be out of commission for a while, but still try to at least do some walking and very light weights as Doc permits. She actually gave me the option between COne and Hysterectomy and I decided since we are done having kids I will go with the Hysterectomy, since there won't be a chance to get the Cervical Cancer ever again, but if I would have gone with the Cone, there would have been a chance that it could come back. I know this is a major surgery and I am trying to get myself as healthy as possible before hand to make the healing faster and easier.

Eating went great today, even though I got some major cravings and almost gave into them, but I stuck it out. Just one more day of this Detox and then I will go back to Phase 2 of my Diet.

Hi miezimau,

I just looked at your fitday food log. I read it from the beginning. It stops on April 11th. For that period, I noticed that you don't seem to be eating many calories considering your weight. Are you still losing weight on this regimen?

Sorry, I am coming to this journal a little late and have only read your more recent entries.

I wish you well with your upcoming operation.

Food today:
Meal 1: 1 pear and 1 orange
Meal 2: 1 apple
Meal 3: 1/2 cup grapes and 2 Kiwi's
Meal 4: 1 cup Pineapple (fresh)
Meal 5: 1/2 Grapefruit
Meal 6: Turkey Sausage and Salad greens w/Dressing

Stepped on the scale this morning and I am down to 160.6lbs. Hoping for 1 more lbs by tomorrow morning and then I will be able to go back to my Diet and I will start tracking it again on Fitday.
Decided since I am not feeling well (sniffles) that I will not do my workout today as planned, but just do some Cardio on the Elliptical for 30 minutes.

Ok, I'm glad to see that this is just some kynda special thyng for the immediate, super short term ryght? .. Because I've been taught that a meal has to have a protein , a carb & a fat ... and that's hardly enough food for you to lose weight in a healthy manner over a long period of tyme... I'm gonna have to research exactly what is being detoxed from the body by 2 days of an all fruit diet... I did get some interesting responses when I googled - detox body fruit...

I can just recommend that when revise or return to ya meal plan, increase your vitamin C levels to help ya with your cold.. and may I also suggest more fiber... I believe that's good for reducing cholesterol levels as well as your weight... http://www.drmirkin.com/archive/6843.html ... Fibrous foods will give you a full feeling as well so you won't be hungry during the day, thus reducing the urge to eat/snack more...

Hope I helped a lil...

Peace..~G

Hi miezimau,

I thought it best to reply here so others will know what we are talking about.

I think somewhere around 1500 calories would be best for long term sustainable weight loss.

There are lots of way to break done the macros, but here is what I would suggest based on your weight and height (I am assuming that you are in your 30s).:

Protein 45%, 170g
Carbs 30%, 112g
Fats 25%, 42g

You should eat 6 times per day. This should keep your blood sugar level and help you with cravings. Each meal should have 25-35 grams of protein. Carbs should be whole grains, greens and fibrous veggies. Fats should be mostly the good fats (mixed nuts, olive oil, fish oil, flaxseed oil, seeds and fats from fish).

All foods should be clean, but a few planned exceptions infrequently or in small amounts frequently can help keep you on track.

You should drink 8-16 glasses of water per day. (I include tea and black coffee in this count.)

If you would like some further help with this, just ask.

Big Bump to the meal plan above...thats what I follow. That plan keeps me fueled up for the day and I NEVER feel hungry. I have been able to lose while maintaining hard earned mass. I'm sure you'll find it will do the same for you, especially since you are in special circumstances with your health. Take care of yourself, and take the advice offered for what it is worth...these guys know what they are talking about Have a good day *D

Hey Rad, thank you for posting this for me. Could you also post a sample meal plan for 1 day so I can see what you are eating? I couldn't stick with the flush and ended up eating junk again And I am back up to 163lbs.
Ok yesterday no workout at the gym, but I worked in the yard doind landscaping with rocks from basically 9 am till 11 am and then again from 2:30pm till 6pm. So I do think I got an workout in. A lot of heavy lifting. I would love to get my Yard scaped before I have to go in for surgery since the recovery time (no lifting anything higher than 2lbs and no bending) is about 6-8 weeks.
Trying to add my meals into Fit day again today so I can figure out if I am getting enough Cals and the right ratios.

Oh and forgot to say thanks to JJ for stopping by. Maybe you would like to post a sample of your meal plan, too?
I can use all the help I can get. If I end up looking as good as you do

Hey miezimau sorry I haven't stopped by until now but I've been busy lately so it's tough to visit all the journals. Don't fret too much about the diet, we all struggle to eat the right things. With all the tempting fast foods around it can be hell the first while to really stick with a clean diet. It does get easier though the longer you go without. I found if you create 5 meals that you can eat everyday and let the sixth or the one prior to your workout be a little heavier and more carb loaded you will satisfy a lot of your cravings while at the same time fuel your workout. I think the biggest thing is limiting your after 6 carbs and replacing fatty carb rich foods with protein heavy ones that will fill you up. Maybe provide yourself with little treats (don't go overboard) for hitting certain marks. The trick is to satisfy cravings without going overboard and ruining a weeks work in the gym.
