Default Lets talk about anything...

I'll start...

I am starving cutting is a bitch I am drinking water like its going out of style.

Yesterday my 4 yr old broke his arm ...what an adventure that was.

I get to rent a backhoe and tear up my front yard do to a water link on my side of the valve... figures.

I'll think of something else.

I'm getting a new workshop built in my back yard. Size is going to be 16x24' , two story job. Downstairs for the tools, upstairs for the gym and place to "run away from home". Forms are laid, concrete gets poured next week(weather providing). Hope to have it finished by the end of the month.

Yeah, I can't wait. My home gym stuff has been in storage since I got remarried 2 years ago. I can't wait to get back to working out twice a day. Time to get large!

He may also need to use 2x6 framingto keep the walls from bowing out. It would be a fun advaneture just to get everything up the the second floor.

Yall are just hitting your prime years now We have two competitive PLers at my gym and one of them is 60 and the other is 75. James the 59 year old squats in the mid 600's and dead's in the 700's while Daryl the other guy still deads and squats in the high 400's. It's amazing to watch those guys workout. In fact James is training for the meet at Oklahoma City coming up.

If that 59 year old can really lift that he must be very near a world champion.

I spent Mother's Day Weekend at the beach. We rode bikes, played golf, walked down the beach, watched movies, etc. Today my hubby, daughter and son took me out to Mother's Day brunch. I'm 13 weeks out from my 1st contest and 15 weeks out from my second contest and I cheated. Bad Diane. :p It was all good.

Glad to hear it, Dan! I wish I were still at an age where I could get owies that didn't stay with me for months/years. LOL

Britt gave me the cutest Mother's Day card today. It read:

"I've got your nose,
I've got your eyes,

But damn it, Mom. . .
I've got your thighs!
(I love you anyway. . .
Happy Mother's Day!!)"

She's so funny!

Two years ago James pulled up a 776lb deadlift, i believe setting a world record for his age. He's going to try 800lbs at the meet in Oklahoma in June and Daryl has set a few world records for his age and lifts. I work out with those guys quite a bit and it's amazing to watch them lift those kind of numbers specially at their ages.

Sounds like a good holiday.

I spent mine with my family on a trip to Texas for a wedding. We had a good time at the wedding & events, but came back to the hotel room to discover our stuff ripped off.

Not only can I still lift. But today I had a great day...flat benched 325 twice, rested and did it again. Haven't done barbell work in awhile so I was pleasantly surprised.

2x12 on 12" exactly. They're pouring the cement this afternoon. And yes, by the way...it's all screws.
