Hahaha... Everyone will die of shock the second I post an ab exercise in my workout journal.. nope.. don't do 'em... I'm allergic to 'em... ... 6 packs are over-rated... I'd rather make my abs in the kitchen instead of in the gym.. hehehe

LOL, I have yet to see mine very clearly underneath my "chub". I'll have to make that call later....kitchen vs. crunches!

******alrighty then! I didnt end up doing a circuit, just lifting...a little tired today, BUT, after my workout, I did 15 minutes on the elliptical. I would've done more but lack of calories (did workout fasted) and numb feet cut the session short. Tomorrow I am endeavoring to work my legs after taking a month off at the advice of a physio due to sore hip flexors (overuse from teaching). I will be doing body wt. exercises only. Oh, and I am adding pilates to my workout regime. I used to do it back in the day, but then I switched it out for yoga. I am BIG on crosstraining and I'm sure my core could use it. Hurrah for pilates!!!

Hi JJ! Sorry about the numb feet. I used to get those when I stairmastered, but after a while it went away. :p

I've never done pilates. The new gym at Kiawah has two of the pilates boards, but I would have no idea what to do with them.

I used to do a pilates class in my gym. I really felt that I benefitted from it, but 7:30 at night was just too late for me (I would have to come back in 1 1/2 hours after my workout or hang around, so I had to give it up.) I may get some DVDs and try yoga and pilates at home.

Okay, so this month has sucked for me. I'm sure you will NOT see any improvement in my IMPC pics. Oh gawd....up a pound, down a pound, the hip flexors feel fine, then they hurt again...adjust this, adjust that...to cheat or not to cheat....its been rough...

SOoooo, I am just going to compete for Most Improved Physique for IMPC, not in the Novice BB category. My legs are lagging badly behind my upper body development. I have not been able to work them hard, if at all, at the advice of my physio. Also, I am happy to announce, I will going back to my artistic roots this summer taking dance and pilates for x-training. I have enrolled in a few classes in a few different disciplines (starting next month to give the injuries some more time to heal). I am looking forward to the variety dance has to offer. I will also be pursuing dance as part of my career development as an instructor, as well as my physical development.

So, until the pics, wish me luck

Yeah baby,

Today I did a great lifting session..lats and pecs...I had mega energy this morning from a really good sleep last night. I am continuing to read Tom Venuto's book for inspiration. Its so easy to get discouraged when you're an endomorph. Grrrr...I hate the "E" word, however, I may master this thing yet.
I am looking forward to this summer now, knowing that I am going to be pursuing cross training.

Now, I'm off to see what you all have been up to! Cheers

Yeppers!! I need my motiovational tools. Its my "fix".

Today, I am going to do a some yoga and pilates. I gotta find a DVD somewhere for the pilates. Maybe I'll shop for one after work. You know, I still own a VCR, and I have a pilates video tape from back in the day. I used to do it like 3 times a week. What nice perky buns I had when I was 20!!:moon:

I will prolly do some cardio at home too. I have had it suggested to me to do my elliptical in sandals or socks to eliminate foot numbness. I'll try anything. I have to get my cardio to a higher level!!! As they say, time to shite or get off the pot.:wedgie:

I get foot numbness when I do the elliptical. I try to keep to "the beat" when I am listening to my mp3 player. This means I am up on my toes. (swiveling my hips and swaying back and forth) When I feel numbness, I just put my heals down and lay back a bit. I hadn't thought of taking my shoes off. (That would just be another thing for gymfolks to talk about. )

Hello again all,

I just did my measurements today and in fact, although I only lost about a pound this month, I actually lost 0.5-1.0 inches at all the major measurements sites...bust, bicep, waist, umbilicus, hips, upper thigh and calf. So, you all may see a difference in my IMPC pics after all. I'll be doing them on the 5th.
