Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 27 | Thank for the good karma DF and dbflgrl! Right back atcha! ![]() Today's workout: 30 minutes elliptical and 15 minutes yoga. I haven't used my elliptical in quite awhile and again found my feet going numb. Aack! That always happens when I cross train on that damn thing. Anyways, when that happened, I just hopped off and jogged on the spot until my feet had feeling again and then continued. My goal for this year in yoga is to be able to successfully perform a half moon pose: http://www.yogajournal.com/poses/784_1.cfm I am almost able to do it, but I am not yet able to rotate my torso open fully to one side yet. I will practice , then post up a pic when I get it done for the first time! Boxing lessons begin on saturday, Jan. 20th. I am very exciting to start! It will be a great compliment to my yoga, strength and cardio routine. Also, school starts this coming monday. My gawd, so much to do, so little time. Tomorrow, I am going down to the campus to pick up my books and my student ID. I will also go on a tour while I am there, to get a feel for the place. Can't wait! |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 27 | Hey hey, Yes, I am definitely grateful it wasn't my monitor, having been bestowed a second hand 17 inch hand me down recently. Believe it or not, my previous monitor was a 15 inch! LOL!!! Anyways, on the workout tip, I still keeping up my cardio 5-6 days week and doing strength training twice a week, along with my 3 yoga classes every week. Tonight I will be doing another 30 minute session, most likely on an elliptical because my knees are a tad tender to be running tonight. Yeehaw!:bshot: |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 27 | Oy! I have been hurtin' on this new calorie cycling plan. Its hard coming off of 2 months eating in surplus, then going back to bare bones weight loss calories. I have been moody. On top of that, I have a virus that is giving me a sore throat and sniffles. This is a less than stellar way to start off the new year. Today, I am going to do more cardio. I would like to do a jog, but it'll have to be on the treadmill because it's pretty cold outside today. I can't wait until the weather warms up again. Yes, I know its the beginning of winter, but I can fantasize cant I? Gotta run :run: |

Yesterday, I did a brisk jog, only 15 mins. HIIT, then took the remainder of the day to rest. In the evening, I had some yummy salad, sushi and sashami. I think the nutrients in the fish gave me a good boost because I woke up feeling much better this morning. Today's exercise: 1 hr. yoga, 25 minutes elliptical, 30 minutes upper body endurance weight lifting. Today is a low cal day for me (in my calorie cycling plan), so salad and fish is on the menu for the rest of my meals...OY! Really though, who doesn't love a good fish bake? ![]()

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 27 | Hey all, So since I started on my school budget, my meals have been really meager. I have stocked the cupboards with bulk oatmeal, tuna, veggies, beans, rice and big bags of russet potatoes. In my freezer are turkey balls, fish and lean hamburger patties for me (they're cheap) and chicken breasts for hubby (he doesn't like turkey balls). Any other suggestions for cheap "clean" groceries??? My exercise has been good and consistent. I took the day off yesterday, I was tired after the first day of school, running around getting books, receipts, finding classrooms and adding and dropping classes. It was monotonous. Today, I did a couple of hours of teaching lite exercise to my seniors group. We are back in full swing for a 12 week session. Later on tonight, at work, I am going to run on the treadmill, as the instructor for my "conditioning" class at school said he would be putting us through our paces with physical testing. So, I asked my "conditioning" class instructor how old he is. He's 32!!! Only one year older than me! Oy, I feel old....not because of his age, but because I am most certainly the oldest person in my class, other than our 32yr. old instructor. This appears to be the case in both of the classes I am taking this semester. I Am the cougar! Grrrrrr Gotta get ready for work now. Ciao! |

A.FreeRadical's transformation thread Perhaps it might spark some ideas. Athough you have the basics covered. Also, I have discovered a sprouted bread in the organic freezer department of my supermarket. It is called Ezekial bread. It is really tasty. *

Yesterday was a crazy day! We got a huge snow dump, more than over a foot. I was an hour late to my conditioning class because traffic was crawling along the highways. When I got there, the class had just started running sprints. So, my exercise for yesterday was 20 min. running sprints. Going home was just as insane, took more than an hour. To point out it usually only takes me about 25 minutes to drive from my place to the campus. Today, I am going to do cardio and upperbody weight lifting before I go to work. It has been so busy in the weightroom with all the "New Years Resolutioners", that I can no longer work out in any capacity on my lunch break. The cardio machines are busy during my entire shift and the weight benches are full. Hence, I will be working out at home or school until the boom is over. I give it another couple weeks. They say it takes 21 days to form a habit. My meal plan is going great, I have done 2 weeks of eating clean, with only 2 high calorie days per week. The scale is moving downwards again and I can see the fat melting away. My calorie cycling plan looks like this: Sun, tues: low calorie days, 1200-1400 mon: med. calorie day 1500-1700 wed: high day, 2000 thurs, fri: low calorie days, 1200-1400 sat: refeed, up to 3000, if desired. Off to have a cuppa, then workout.

Today's exercise: 1 hour of yoga in the morning. In the evening, 15 minutes on the steppper before I attended a 30 minute bootcamp class. BAD IDEA!! I killed my legs on the stepper than did innumerable squats and lunges in bootcamp class. My legs are SCREAMIN'!!! At least I know for next friday, no stepper before going to bootcamp |
