Default HoosierHardGains IronMass Journal

Hey all. I'm starting a journel over here today after journeling over at that other site for a couple of months. Mom24Boys got me to start up over here. I typically do 3 full body workouts a week. I prefer full body workouts because 3 days a week works out best for me. Plus if I have to skip a workout, at least all body parts get hit a least once or twice a week. So, here goes my workout this morning:

Squats: 7 sets of 4 reps
Supersets:
DB Rows
DB Flys : 4 sets of 6

Superset:
Close grip bench
BB arm curls : 4 sets of 6

I actually did squats last, but there because this one dude does his entire workout, including arm curls, in the squat rack, I couldn't do them at the beginning.

Thanks for the greetings, everyone. I appreciate the support. No lifting today, but I plan on doing a brisk cardio walk later today. Most will tell you I absolutely LOVE doing cardio...NOT! But, hey, I'll just deal with it, suck it up, and get to walking. :headshake

Hey all. Today is lifting day 2 of the week for me, and here is how the session went:

Flat Bench: 7 sets of 4 reps

Superset 1: Calf Raise
Leg Curl : 2 sets of 6, 2 sets of 7

Superset 2: DB Military Press
DB Hammer Curl : 4 sets of 6

Tri Pressdown : 3 sets of 6

Hope ya all have a great day. For me, today is my 9th wedding anniversary. HoosierWife has actually put up with me for that long! She deserves a medal, or at least a gold watch of something

Hey all. Hope your Thursday is going well. No lifting for me today...I'll be heading for a 30 minute brisk walk later today, and possibly some outside play time with my sons. The legs are still sore from Monday's squating and yesterdays leg curls. I hadn't squatted in about 3 weeks, and I hadn't been doing any direct hammy work due to some back problems. I actually like the soreness...it makes you feel like you've done something.

Hey all. Usually I lift on Friday mornings, but I couldn't yesterday so I went this morning. Here was the routine:

Pulldowns : 7 sets of 4 reps
Superset 1: Decline Bench : 4 sets of 6
Seated Calf Raises : 4 sets of 8

Superset 2: Hack Squat : 4 sets of 7
Upright Row : 4 sets of 8

Farmers Walk : 3 sets


It was a good session...I felt really strong. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Hey, happy Tuesday. Man, the weekend was rough. Two of the three kids were sick...didn't make for a lot of sleep for me and my wife. Got my lifting in this morning:

Squats: 1 set of 5 reps, 6 sets of 4 reps.

Superset 1: DB Rows : 2 sets of 6, 2 sets of 7
DB Flys : 4 sets of 8

Superset 2: Close grip bench : 2 sets of 7, 1 set of 6
Bicep curl : 2 sets of 8, 1 set of 7

Hey GameDay...I might be able to beat my 7 year old son in a strong man, but that would be my only hope...it's totally for grip. And let me tell ya, it's a kick butt exercise. The funniest thing is seeing the other people in the gym trying to figure out what the heck I'm doing. I can just hear them thinking, "Why doesn't he just do wrist curls."
