Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 16 | Thanks, pammie! ![]() Hi Kieth! Brian and I aren't really Vegas sort of people, but some friends invited us and we figured what the heck. Brian will probably play a little blackjack and the extent of my gambling will be $20 on a slot machine -- after that, I want to beat the things and scream, "Give me my money back!!" Our friends planned everything, so we won't even know what we're doing until next week as far as shows, etc. are concerned (when they send us the itinerary). :p Hope all of ya'll are well. Our vacation at Kiawah is winding down. We're golfing today. We have to head home on the 5th and little B is having his wisdom teeth removed on the 7th. Fun, fun.Happy Sunday! |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 16 | Hi Spawn! Hope you had a Happy 4th of July also!Today, I'm packing up and heading home from Kiawah (after being her over a month :p ) around noon. Little B has to get his wisdom teeth out on Friday. I've probably already said it, but I don't like that they're putting my baby to sleep. ![]() Yesterday, we ended up riding bikes an hour and walking two hours. I was hungry all day. We watched fireworks on the beach last night -- they were beautiful! I've now ridden my bike 221 miles training towards the MS150 -- woo-hoo -- moving right along. ![]() Happy, happy Wednesday!! |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 16 | Hiya guys! ![]() I felt like I was near death today. We rode 40 miles in Ft. Jackson and it was described as a rolling hills ride. It was awful -- the hills went on forever and around mile 30 or so, I just wanted to start barfing. I wanted to do anything but pedal. Anyhoo, we made it. It was muggy and hot. I took a water bottle with me and a bottle full of Accelerade. Luckily, there we came across Ft. Jackson Golf Club and were able to buy more water and some Gatorade because we definitely ran out of fluids. Not too smart. :PWhat else? Ummmm, oh -- my chain came off 3 freagin times. :confused2: I've never had that happen and don't know what the deal was with it. Brian didn't even notice the first time and kept going and going -- but, luckily I seemed to remember from childhood days how to remedy the chain situation on my own.According to Bicycling Magazine's calculator, I burned 1,536.41. My max speed was 30mph -- :o -- that feels fast on a bike. Brian's was 35, but I think the extra weight helps. Ha,ha. I am now going to eat and find somewhere to collapse. :girl: Be good! Oh, and I lifted yesterday -- chest/tris/abs! Woo-hoo! Trying to get myself on a Monday - Wed - Friday split, but I felt like lifting yesterday, so I started on Saturday. ![]() |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 16 | Hi guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. This summer has been so busy! We had a great time in Vegas, then went to Michigan so Brian could golf in the Buick ProAm, are home for three days & are heading out Sunday for British Columbia. I'll do the bike ride on September 16 and 17th & then, HOPEFULLY, become a regular lifter again. Good grief! I'm actually having tons of fun -- I just don't care for the slightly flabby body. I've asked Michael and Kendra if they'll help me come up with a nutrition plan & I'll get that started at the beginning of October. Hope all is well with everyone! I'll try to get some good photos in British Columbia and post them! |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 16 | Hi JJ! It's a family adventure trip we won from Nissan. We leave tomorrow -- early -- we have to leave the house at 4:30a.m. We will be at the Four Seasons Resort Whistler from August 6th -- 10th, and at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver on August 10 -- 11th. We're scheduled to get to the Fairmont at around 2:00 because we're stopping enroute in Squamish to see a Lumberjack/Logger show. We're going out to dinner that night in Vancouver. Any suggestions as to where to eat? We get up bright and early the next day to head back home. |

http://www.salmonhouse.com/about.php They have delectable vancouver smoked salmon, steak and mahi mahi. The view from the dining area is breath taking. It overlooks English bay if I'm not mistaken. Let me know if you end up going there on your trip. It will be a memorable dining experience. Cheers ![]() | |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 16 | Thanks bunches, JJ! ![]() My kids refused to go anywhere with the word "Salmon" in the name. LOL We did have a blast in B.C. and Whistler was beautiful! ![]() Here's a bunch of links to photos. I sure hope I can link to photobucket from here because this is too much to post! I think I'll post the "bear" photos first, so if ya'll get bored with them at least they'll be in a group. British Columbia had bears all over the place -- bear statues -- which different artists had painted with different themes. They were going to auction them off in about a month for charity. I can't remember what they used, but Britt said they had a similar campaign in D.C. when she was there. I know Columbia did it at one time with Palmetto trees. Anyhoo, Britt was determined to take photos with every bear we came upon. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...dDayBears2.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...dDayBears3.jpg We thought Darth Vader Bear was too cool! : http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...VaderBear2.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...hVaderBear.jpg This was a bad fashion decision-- I look 2 feet tall! http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...CBearDiane.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...earBeauty2.jpg Isn't Britt pretty? http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...BearBeauty.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...dDayBears2.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...s09/BCBear.jpg I think that was all the bear shots. Good Lord! |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 16 | Damnit!! LOL Okie dokes -- let's see if I can link the site where I posted it. Probably against the rules, but I'll try anything to not have to do it again. ![]() http://www.homefitness101.com/forum/...=0&#entry80838 That worked, but I may get into trouble for that. Shhhhhhhhhh. I'm cleansing my body of alcohol, etc. today and plan on being a more fit chickie from here on out. This slackness has to stop. I'll try to whip myself into decent shape before I ask Kendra and Michael to help me the rest of the way.Happy Sunday! |
