The most I've ever done on the leg press is 815lbs at my old gym, but I think these are set at a slightly higher angle in this gym and when I go too heavy I feel it in my lower back/hip in an uncomfortable way, so I'm capping out in the 600#s now for quad day.Okay, today was busy, busy, busy. Woke up at 5:00am to do cardio, then thought I had a nail appointment at 7:00am, but it was actually tomorrow. Made me wanna cry. LOL So, I cancelled tomorrow's and found another place to do my nails and toes today. Then, I had a buff and bronze, a facial, and an eyebrow waxing. Beautification for my contests. I finally made it to the gym late this afternoon. Here's the damage: Walked around the track 10 minutes to warm up. Man, the gym is crowded right after work time. *I'm at the gym trying to figure out what to do exercisewise that won't rub off my buff and bronze before it sets well. LMAO! Straight Leg Deadlifts*Started these with preweighted bars because Dufus#1 was in my way in the one and only squat rack. 15 reps X 70lbs 15 reps X 80lbs 15 reps X 90lbs 10 reps X 135lbs*dufus moved 10 reps X 135lbs 7 reps X 135lbs*strap weren't wrapped right 10 reps X 135lbs One Leg Deadlifts 10 reps each leg holding 25lb dumbbell 10 reps each leg holding 35lb dumbbell 10 reps each leg holding 40lb dumbbell 10 reps each leg holding 40lb dumbbell SuperSet Leg Press High and Wide with Leg Press Calves Leg Press 10 reps X 315lbs 10 reps X 315lbs 10 reps X 405lbs 10 reps X 495lbs Calves 15 reps X 315lbs 15 reps X 315lbs 15 reps X 405lbs 12 reps X 495lbs **Miracles do happen in my yuppie gym!! A guy came up and said, "Man, that's a lot of weight. I'll unload this side." Woo-hoo! That always happened at my old gym, but I'm thinking most of the peeps at this gym can't lift the 45lb weight. LOL One Leg Curl 10 reps each leg X 35lbs 10 reps each leg X 40lbs 8 reps each leg X 45lbs 7 reps each leg X 45lbs Angled Calves 15 reps X 100lbs 10 reps X 135lbs 10 reps X 135lbs 10 reps X 135lbs *All the cardio machines were full. All of them and there are about 25 to 30. I walked around the track for 15 minutes, then when a treadmill cleared, I walked 45 minutes at 15% incline and 4.0mph. Home now. Exhausted!! Whine, whine. Pam said no more creatine. Good riddance. Ya'll be good! |

It was supposed to be at 11:00 and I wrote down 11:00 on my calendar and still thought it was at 3:00. I'm such a ditz lately! Anyway, she called from the gym and I felt so bad about it -- she said she'd come back at 3:00. I went by the Fresh market and bought her a bottle of wine and she liked that. LOL She said I'm doing great with my posing, but I suppose that goes out the window once I'm nervous and on stage. :p I do still have trouble with my lat spread, but it is what it is. After posing practice, I did back/biceps/cardio. Pullups 12 11 9 8 Straight Arm Pushdowns 10 reps X 80lbs 10 reps X 90lbs 10 reps X 100lbs 8 reps X 110lbs Straight Bar Curls 10 reps X 50lbs 9 reps X 55lbs 5 reps X 60lbs, 6 reps X 40lbs 5 reps X 55lbs, 4 reps X 40lbs One Arm Dumbbell Rows 10 reps each arm X 30lb dumbbell 10 reps each arm X 40lb dumbbell 10 reps each arm X 50lb dumbbell 8 reps each arm X 55lb dumbbell Hammer Curls with Rope Attachment 12 reps X 50lbs 10 reps X 60lbs 10 reps X 70lbs 8 reps X 80lbs After this I did 25 minutes walking at 15% incline and at 4.0mph, then I rowed for 10 minutes, waiting for the Stairmaster, then I did the Stairmaster for 20 minutes. One of Britt's friends came up laughing in the gym today -- a girl -- and said one of her guy friends asked her if she knew the girl in the paper because she sure was hot. That was the "Member of the Month" ad our gym does and it was an article on me. :p She said, "That's Brittany Smith's mom!" and he said, "Oh my God!!" Makes my heart happy. LOL That's all! |

I was going to lift post workout, but my makeup session was from 1:00 to 1:30 and then the photo shoot was from 2:00 and lasted until 7:30!!! He took over 600 pics! What a blast that was! Alrighty -- depletion workout + cardio + antibiotic = nausea. :p ![]() Leg Press High and Wide, supersetted with Leg Press Feet Together*rested 1 minute between supersets 225lbs X 25 reps High and Wide X 25 reps Feet Together X 4 sets *That made me feel nauseated as heck and my leggies were burning, burning. Leg Press Calves *60 second rest 20 reps X 305lbs X 5 sets Straight Leg Deadlifts *60 second rest 25 reps X 50lb straight bar 25 reps X 60lb straight bar 25 reps X 65lb straight bar 25 reps X 65lb straight bar 25 reps X 65lb straight bar *still feeling nauseated. Hacks -- Shoulder Width Stance 20 reps X 120lbs X 4 sets Seated Calves -- started feeling a little better. I think the Lipo6 kicked in. 20 reps X 115lbs 15 reps X 115lbs 20 reps X 90lbs 20 reps X 90lbs Superset Leg Extensions and Leg Curls*60 second rest between supersets 50lbs each machine X 20 reps each machine X 3 sets After that lov-a-ly torture, I did 15 minutes on the treadmill at 4.0mph and 15% incline, then 30 minutes stairmaster at level 12. |
