Default Tuesday was Leg Day

Bad news, I no sooner got warmed up with 135 lbs on the squat and I felt this sharp pain in my right quad near the teardrop area. This was followed up with a hot feeling in that area. I quit right there.

Right now, I feel like someone punched me in the quad. I can walk with no pain, but walking on stairs is slightly painful. No leg work until this is healed. I don't think it is serious but working it could make it serious.

Right now I am using rest and aspirin. Thursday is Upper Body day if something else doesn't break. dayum.

dbflgirl, a great brunette with abs trumps a blond with great abs any day.

NS, somedays you crush the bear and somedays the bear crushes you.

man...rad i am sorry to hear of the injury......may be just a small micro tear judging by the hot slight burn feeling. well at least you did not get up to ur heavy weight yet.....it might have had some serious consequences. just do like ya said and rest it up and at first when you are damn SURE it has healed start low and work ur way back to where u stopped....don't make the mistake of it feeling good and u go right back to where you left off. it will come back fast but u MUST..work back up to it. i hope all goes well and take care of that injury man.

Yep, to all of the above. I can walk fine, it is just doing stairs and any squatting down that causes pain. Even then it isn't much. I must have turned my right knee in when I was coming out of the hole. The weight was light and I was pumping them out with intensity for my warmup. Oh well. time to work on back and chest for a while.

Sorry to hear about the leg, Rad. Do you ever use ibuprofin? I think that's the best for muscley things...

And what about a brunette with just so-so abs?

Default I have decide to go back to cutting...

I was going to work this bulk until May or when I hit 196 lbs, but with the quad injury, I think it would be better to cut and do lower weight and higher reps until this thing heals. I have made some nice pbs and my muscle gain is noticible. (I am guessing 4+ lbs of muscle since I started this bulk in February.)

I am going to lose some fat while I am recovering. Most of my pants are 32" and 33" waist, I am looking forward to visiting them again.

Yeah, that's the worst thing about this whole lifting thing... Clothes just never fit right (one way or the other). I get teased because my shirts are too small, but they weren't in November!! Sounds like we've both had pretty good bulks.

Have a good weekend.

Yeah, I seem to have gotten bigger all over. Some of my Large (L) shirts are getting very tight. X-Large would fit better in the chest and shoulders but then the sleeves are going to be way too long. I had thought it would be neat to wear size 32 jeans, but they are snug in the seat (Shrugs built this new butt). When I get back to a 32" waist I am going to have to have the waist taken in on my 33" and 34" pants. I did put on about 3 lbs of fat. All of it around my middle. I still can see a 6 pack too, dispite the layer of blubber. I am going to get back to bulking as soon as I feel healed. 2 months of cutting should give me enough time to get back to normal.
