I did get some good gains from my short bulk, but that is not why I am going back to cutting. I don't expect to be able to lift heavy in Quito. The last time I went there I was unable to lift more than 75% of my PBs here. Not enough hemoglobin in the bloodstream. I would have to be there for 3-6 months to get enough hemoglobins to lift like I do here.

I didn't see that Hokie game. Too bad, they were playing awesome prior to that. Go Hokies!

Hey Rasp and Davtown!

Yeah, Quito is a pretty cool place. It is a great place to go to learn Spanish. The local dialect is not too far off from regular Spanish and living there is inexpensive. The senoritas aren't too hard to look at either.

It is always better not to drink. I enjoy a couple of glasses of red wine after dinner. There are some health benefits (anti-oxidant, cancer prevention, cholesterol lowering and blood pressure lowering) to red wine in moderation, but I admit, I enjoy the alcohol. I would like to think it helps to reduce my muscle wasting cortisol as well.

Just a quick note to say I have arrived in Quito and I am alive and well. I have taken the week off to acclimate to the altitude. I have no altitude sickness, but I am not exactly busting butt here yet either. I notice that I gasp for breath every now and then. That tells me my strength and endurance will be down when I do start. I am going to go at it light on Monday.

Rasp, I will get some pictures this week. I am still at bulk weight dispite my diet. (No real exercise).
