Default Thursday is Upper Body Day, but...

I am coming down with a cold. I was going to try to do the cardio, but decided to just cool it for today. I have adjusted my diet accordingly.

Tomorrow is my day off from lifting, I may or may not do the cardio depending on how I feel.

ahhh, how sweet, balloons. I got plenty of sleep last night. I did burn 900 calories on the treadmill and elliptical this afternoon. I came home and took a nap. I can't say I feel real bad, just a bit achey I tire easily. Tonight is my refeed. I think I am going to opt for some homemade chicken noodle soup.

Tomorrow is Back day. I am still not sure yet whether that is going to happen.

Thanks Pammie. This winter was the first winter in many years where I didn't catch a cold. Summer is almost here and I get a cold. I think it is the pollen. There is so much of it and I have been sweeping pool deck, patio, driveway, etc. I think my immune system is crying "enough"!

Default Saturday is Back and Abs Day, but...

I decided to do cardio only today. I don't think this cold is going to come to much of anything and I want to ensure it. I didn't take off for a week after 3 months as is my practice. I haven't taken a week off since January. I am going to count this as a mini rest period. If I don't feel up to working out tomorrow, I will skip that too.

I burned 600 calories on the inclined treadmill and 300 calories on the elliptical. I then took a shower and went home to take a nap.

I am holding muscle, but the fat is not coming off of my belly. I am back to egg whites and brown rice in the morning. (I just made another batch of my Brown Rice Italiano.) I slipped into the habit of eating 3 whole eggs and an english muffin. I have a few other things to clean up. The good news is I haven't gained any weight and I am stable at 176-177 lbs. I am losing some of the wrinkles on my belly and my belly is getting flatter.

Hello friend,

Well, holding muscle is good news, holding fat, bad news I can't imagine that you have much belly fat to lose with your physique (looking at your avatar).

I have been searching your recipes *drooling* Mmmmmm. i am definitely going to take a few pages from your book. Thanks for putting those out there for us. Have a good rest period. You deserve it

I don't have much belly fat. (I am obsessing. ) Right now I have a 3 pack. 2 below my ribs and 1 around my navel. That one around my navel has to be split into 4. (diet, diet and diet is the key to doing this.) The intercostals, serratus and obliques are starting to show nicely.

I am glad you are enjoying reading my recipes. I hope you try some of them. If it wouldn't be for my brown rice, chicken and tuna salad recipes, I couldn't stick to my diet. (Reminds me, I need to put my faux mashed potatoes recipe on there. I use cauliflower.)

I love cauliflower mashed potatoes. Yum! I also eat the brown rice/egg combination for breakfast, which grosses my family out.

Happy Sunday, AFree! I wish I could see one ab.

What is your recipe for cauliflower mashed potatoes?

I eat my brown rice (w/onions, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, spices) on top of 6 egg whites fried in extra virgin olive oil. Grosses out my family too. I love it.

Here is to brown rice and eggs. :dine:

When I've made it I just use the South Beach Diet recipe -- I believe steamed cauliflower, "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" spray, fat free cream & some garlic. :p I'm sure yours is better. Post away.

Hi dbflgirl! I used cauliflower, garlic, tablespoon of butter, and 2 tablespoons of half and half. Hibbies is much healthier, but I didn't have anything lighter on hand. I made two servings, so I only ate half of the butter and half and half.

I just looked and there haven't been any progress pics for a long time. I was hoping to have a six pack soon and show that off, but I may be several lbs away from that. I am will try to take a picture or two tomorrow.
