Ah... then communication is in order. If this person is your wife/partner, etc., sit down and talk with them about it and see if you can both come up with a compromise. I mean, it's your body, and if you don't take care of it now, it's going to be much harder to get it "back in shape" later. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I'm sure if you both talk it out, a reasonable solution can be found and you can still workout and do the things that you have to do.

My fiancee is very supportive of my weight training, and I keep my workouts to around an hour (immediately after work) so that we still get to spend quality time together, etc. I'm sure if they're reasonable, they'll understand that your working out will be for their benefit too.

Just some suggestions. I know that everyone's situation is different, but I thought I would give some basic advice based on my limited knowledge of your situation.
