I suffered a herniated disc and have another that is bulging. (2+ years ago) I have trained around my lower back for so long that it is weak, but my core is better than ever, which should help me to gain some strength back. Hopefully, no one is confused by the last statement..in my experience, core vs. lower back muscle are not the same thing. | |

I'm an old wimp who lifts girly weights and you will all be bored if you read my journal...but I'm here and damnit that's a start. ![]() This summer I pretty much gave up and walked away from training..just to see how much dust could build up on my equipment. cool huh? not really. I'll just throw up the last few workouts to kind of get things up to speed. My biggest reward has come from finally being able to load my spine with some weight. (disc injury) 12/26 Barely Training ![]() I'm gonna call today's workout "barely training"...you'll see why. ME Bench 135x8 165x5 205 x3 255x2 275 x1 (barely) EZ Bar Curls 100x8 100x8...barely Tricep Pushdowns 100x8 100x7 +1 12/29 1 Arm DB Rows 120x10 120x10..gotta work on my grip...L and R hands were both going on rep 8. I think I can go a bit heavier before needing straps just yet. Rev. Grip Curls 90x10 90x10 Close Grip Bench 205x10 205 x8 ...figured if I cussed like a sailor, there would be two more reps in the tank...nopers...no biggie. Rev. Hypers with a 35 x20 today: Box Squats 300x10 300x10 Dip Belt Calf Raises 120x30...took a few breaths and cranked out 10 more Cable Crunches 100x20 +5 having pain in lower abs ..and my left nut ![]() never had an issue with this before. Dip Belt hangs with 120# to decompress spine. bored y'all enough for now bbl |
