I'm not sure about the job change.. from IBM to selling Fords... but I know that he's taking on more administrative duties around the syte, thus creating a decrease in his moderator/posting activities... but he's around..

I am doing well thanks for asking!

I am working my ass off but making good money... it is a bit slow so I am putting in tons of hours to make it all pay off. My forst month out I out sold nearly every one and they all got an ass chewing for allowing the newbi to take them down. The truth is I have never met a larger group of ppl with such poor goals.

Glad to know everyone is doing well I'll try to get through a few posts before signing off.

I was asked to be an Internet Sales Manager at the the dealership!! I got a call last night at 9pm. I will be tasked with figureing out and fixing everything that is wrong currently. It is going to piss off a few people that I got the nod over them but I don't actually care as my co-workers will not by cars from me.

Some one is getting moved out of the department for pissing off management/not doing their job for a long time. The others in the department are simply lazy and will be asked to step up or step aside.

That is a small part of why I have been away so much my friend runs the dealership and gave me a job. Now he has asked for my help in correcting things in the internet department. I have never worked with such a large group of ppl with poor goals/work habits. Car salesmen are payed on numbers sold the more you sell the more you make. So why not set high goals and sell more cars? (my attitude) Theirs is if I sell 10-12 cars I do not have to work as so hard. Selling 15-20+ I can make 6-8k+ a month doing this and have been wondering why I wasted so much time getting Microsoft certified (and working for IBM) ... Especially sense IBM would not pay me more for doing it.

Now ya all know what I have been and will be upto in the coming months.

Sounds like you have what it takes to make the money Dan. Good going on the attitude maybe the lazy ones will learn by watching you start moving too.

If they don't, heck with them, it's just more money in your pocket and it sounds as if you are doing great selling those cars anyway!

At least you are going places with your positive attitude.

Great going there Dan. I was beginning to wonder where the hell u been. Good to see the job's turning out pretty well mate. I am in sales myself and I can relate to what ur saying. U gotta keeping setting the bar further up each and everytime. With that attitude of urs, I think u wont have any issues in doing well with the current responsibilities u have.
