Hey everyone, keep dbflgirl in your thoughts and prayers. She's right in the middle of where Katrina hit. She's probably without power and hopefully not in a flood! If you can read this, dbflgirl, let us know you're okay!

I'm here! The storm made a last minute left turn so we only got grazed, not the full impact. There will be other opportunities, though, as the Atlantic basin is active.

Good news, to many hurricanes have happened. I think it was because of senator bush

BTW, who the heck is senator Bush? Only Bush down here is Governor!

hahahaaa...oh HELL...just give him a few years...you KNOW hes working on senator status...

OK...so now the biatch Katrina is out there in the Gulf...shes making her way closer and closer to where i am here in Houston...but i think she'll veer North soon and slam into Louisianna....lets hope so anyway ( although believe it or not WE could use the rain...lol)

I love Houston. I used to travel there several times a year for business back in the early 90's. Great city.

I would die of fear if I ever experienced a hurricane!

Hell, I am afraid of a bad storm in Ohio and they are drizzle storms compared to what you have seen, I am sure!

I hope not. My youngest son's girlfriend was to start as a freshman at Tulane University on Monday. She is now in Houston (she drove all day yesterday), hopefully out of harm's way.

looks like we here in houston are gonna be fine...prolly wont even get any rain out of the deal since this high pressure system has started to drop and guide katrina back toward florida....right now she is still Cat 5...175 mph winds...going north-north west right toward Nawlins and Mississippi...

scarey!

last night we had some crazy assed storm come through here though...tornado weather...scares the livin crap outta me! :mask:
