funny how we can all differ so greatly. I didnt even get past 4 weeks of DC training without getting overtrained, and I didnt even rest pause! (although i didnt take a good enough break from previous lifting, just a week and a half off from the gym. food intake was very high - 4500+ pretty clean cals/day).
I just couldnt work out for too long. it seems like my body prefers 2-3 excercises per muscle, and no more than 75 min in the gym... DC workouts took pretty long.. I guess its because you (spy) have been training for much longer and have a well trained CNS.

How were your DC workouts taking so long? When I started with a 'pure' DC split for the first few weeks I was in and out within 30 minutes each day - way to low volume for my tastes.

got hella strong! example is bench press went from 315 for 18 RP reps to 355 for 18 RP reps, will be switching back to DC this december after nationals! reps were kinda high cause i misjudged my strength on bench and hit 315 for 14 reps then rp 3 rp 1, thats why the higher rep range on that excersise! now im doing volume training and im lucky to get 305 for 12 reps my last set! LOL

i had very bad endurance, id wait 60 seconds between warmups and do lots of them, then do a bit of light stretching then wait another 90 seconds before my real set, then id do the extreme stretching then wait 180 seconds (writing logbook and adjusting equipment for next excercise) then do an acclimation set, wait 90 secs (it was more mental than physical tiredness) do my set... and if the next excercise didnt involve muscles which were previously trained indirectly (chest delt tri example) id start with the warmups again... etc etc.. was really fun until week 3 i started feeling a bit weird, then 4th week i got stressed out, got a little cold and had trouble sleeping..

you should take plenty of time between excersises, this way you will be able to put 110% effort into each excersise, but DC workout should not take that long only doing one all out set per bodypart (rest pause). as for feeling bad, this workout really stresses your central nervous system, thats why the day in between workouts, mon, wed, fri. weekends off, of the traditional split, you need that day in between workout to recover.

Whats more important is to take cruise periods. My blasts normallys last around 6-8 weeks MAX. then I cruise for 1-2 weeks. Your CNS and body needs it

Good post. Taking cruise periods while DC training is vital. Your body can only take a beating for so long.

im sure DC works for the majority of ppl. too many ppl using his method of training for it to be completely ineffective. but then again IMO the average gym rat has terrible trainging practices and eveyone seems to follow each other. I find DC a bit confusing with so many variations.

anyone ever try Ian King routine?

Never tried it

If you think DC is confusing with lots of variations, wait until you are trained by Dante or Inhuman....they will fill you in on the secrets that are not anywhere in public, and can only be paid for. That adds to the variations, but increases your results with DC

I can't believe nobody's leaked these "secrets" yet, look around and you should be able to find them..
