Default Getting prepped, any last words?

I'm getting my shit together so I can go DC this summer. I want all the extra advice on top of these doggcrapp articles I'm going to read through again. So I have some questions to ask:

How old were you when you DC'ed?

How long of time have you been training prior to DC?:

What are some (serious) tips you'd give someone before starting doggcrapp?:

I'll add more later...

Not old enough for the sterotypical "dc'er" to condone me doing dc training, nor sterotypically good enough stats.

There's a reason they want you to have 3 years experience before doing DC.

Not with training just over a year. It takes time to learn what exercises work for your body and what types of diets work for your body. From your pics I think you should worry about cutting more than anything else.

Dude, no offense, but he is trying to help you. Looking at your pics and your training log... you are still at beginner level whether you want to believe that or not. Which is fine, you're only 15, right? The fact that you have a passion for bodybuilding is great, but just because you've read a lot of articles and have some book knowledge of training doesn't mean you're applying it successfully. To progress, you need to focus on consistency with your training and your diet. If you are consistent, you will see results with a basic beginner's bodybuilding split routine and there's no shame in that at all. I'd say you refocus and start back at the beginning and put the basics into practice before worrying about advanced programs like DC.

I'm not looking to bring you down, but it may be time for a self-check. Don't get too far ahead of yourself. Starting DC training or being admin of your own BB forum is not going to make you a bodybuilder. Let your body catch-up to where your mind and spirit are at. I've had to check myself several times and admit to myself that I wasn't quite where I thought I was... then I'd go back to the basics: form (often dropping my weights down, despite my pride), intensity (making sure every workout was better than the last), and diet. Every time I did one of these self-checks, I'd make progress rapidly.

Good luck to you though, whether you like my advice or not.

I wouldn't suggest DC to many people at all, definitely not someoen that is young. There is so much different ways to train and your not old enough to be a lazy DCer (just kidding of course). Get some balls to the wall workouts and hit them hard. THat will do a lot for you right now. If you want to try DC, keep a good log, shock us all, I hope you gain a lot.

man, all this advice... i think i need to self check more often.

2Ripped, was it the knewly posted interview and quality DC posts which have grabbed your attention? I know they have grabbed mine, and there is good information in those. Apply some of those principles to your current routine, and you will see improvments.

With an attitude like that you're not going to do well with this sport. You have to check your ego at the door and accept help from others. I'm not trying to be a prick, I'm just trying to help give you some guidance. DC training is very intense and if you're not consistant with your diet and training (which is the impression I got from your log) it's not going to be very kind on you. I think if you clean up your diet and stick to it (along with your training) you should get some good results from other training styles. Then, once you've gained the experience you can try DC training.
Bodybuilding isn't all about book knowledge, a lot of it is practical application. No two bodies are the same, you have to know what works for yours and what doesn't.

What do you need? If your going to do DC then do it. You don't need to make a thread trying to prove a point that your 15 and still haven't build a base yet.

Find a routine (other than DC), and stick to it till you gain 20-30 lbs. and eat. It doesn't have to be strict, you know what you need to eat, so eat it!

And learn some self-discipline and get yourself a gym membership.

At his BF level any gains he would make would be mostly fat, especially when advocating a lenient diet.

Not true at all, if he eats a moderate diet of carbs, protein, and fats in the 3,000-3,500 calorie range he can pack on mass without gaining too much fat. I have done that very sucessfully when I was around 24% body fat with cardio ranging to 1-2 times a week at most for 30 minutes at a slow pace.

The whole DC-routine is wwaayy advanced for even 15 year veterans. Bro, you ain't ready for it ... I know I'm a DC-cronie myself but it just fits me. My principles before I even heard of DC were very similar to DC's philosophy.

Include DC's principles but don't go for an all-out DC style training program ... the complexness of what the basis for his diet is boggles anyones mind.

not attacking you or anything but, judging from your pictures, you arent ready for it, and you dont know what "works for you".
what you have to stop doing is trying to cut or follow a routine like DC. the kind of training and frequency youll do with DC will overtrain you very very easily... the guys doing it have been training for several years to train their CNS and learned all tricks to enhance their recovery..
If i were you I would just take some of the principles and add it to your routine, like slow negatives, DC Calf raises and extreme stretching... and 20 rep squats (which i think should be in everyones routine if their legs arent up to par with everything else).

why not do a typical back bi, chest delt tri, legs routine, you can even do this 4 times a week (week 1: back bi on monday and friday.. week 2: chest delt tri on monday and friday... etc etc)

otherwise if you really want to do DC, then go ahead its your choice.. just trying to help.
