Default Extreme Stretching Question

Hi all, I have a question about the extreme stretching that I couldn't seem to find in any of the stickies.

I understand that you have to work the muscle BEFORE doing the stretching. So, I've got it down that I wouldn't stretch my chest until I was all done working my chest. That said, however, would I split the stretches up, or do them after finishing with the muscle group? For example, let's say I'm doing chest and shoulders for the day. Would I want to stretch my chest after I'm done working my chest, then stretch my shoulders after I'm done working my shoulders, or would I complete my entire workout and THEN do my stretch?

Sorry if this answer has been posted and I missed it...I get a little spacey sometimes and miss things right in front of my face.

Sorry for the noob question, thanks in advance for the help

In DC Training, you only do one working set per bodypart, so you would warm up, and then do your one working set, then stretch for that bodypart. I don't know how you would do it otherwise, maybe after each bodypart as well. iunno

Yeah, that is basically the way our new program is, only our last set is the true working set. The only difference is that most days we will hit two separate chest exercises (ex. on Tuesday we hit Bench then Incline). But yes, same idea with one true working set. I'll just do my stretch after I do my two exercises for the body part, since most logs they do the extreme stretching after every exercise. Thanks romanaz!

you want to stretch the bodypart right after training it.. the point of extreem stretching is to stretch out the musce facia allowing so that the muscles can grow more easily. So you want to stretch them when they are pumped up, and full of blood to get the most out of it...

Thanks again for everyone's help...I just wanted to comment that I've started working this into my routine, and the nice stretch out I feel is really helping me stay fairly loose, it's a damn good stretch.

If you really want to maximize the effectivness.. once you are done working the muscle alternate flexing the muscle for 60 seconds (engeorging it with blood) and 60 seconds extreem stretching... do that 3 times....
