Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 60 | Whenever someone posts this kind of information, I have to ask myself: Realistically, if I do what is suggested in this case and eat my protein first, before my carbs, do I honestly think I'm going to observe a measurable positive change in the development of my physique? The answer in this case is no. For one, what are we talking here, waiting 1 or 2 hours after eating your protein before you eat carbs? That is the minimal amount of time it takes to allow protein to be digested and absorbed (unless it's whey, which digests in 30-45 minutes). If you eat your meal at a normal pace, but eat your chicken before you dig into your rice, both will be combined in the stomach before any significant digestion of either has occurred. Also, eating protein and carbs together has the beneficial effect of steering carbs away from fat storage, by slowing the absorption of the carbs. This super-anal stuff is really pretty useless; don't get wrapped up in it.
