Almost no one is trained by Dante or Inhuman, some follow what they know to be the truth, but most just apply some of the useful principles to their own routines and diet.

I am in my 8th week and having some success-stuctured my routine around what I've read on the internet. Really like the intensity level thanks to RP.

It depends how you define intensity.

There are two uses in the sport:

Intensity: an attitude, mindset or attribute given to an exercise similar to focus, agressivness and effort.

Intensity (as it should be defined when talking about training): Referrering to a sceme of training based on fewer reps per set and an equal to or greater number of sets. Antonym: Volume.

The DC diet is just as important as the workout if not more important so if your not following DC diet guidelines you need to research

this is just as true to any training method. Dante's diet is not much different than any mass gaining diet. The only difference is the slightly higher caloric intake, carb cuts, and natural thermogenics. Ever diet should include 2XBW protein.

423/8= 52.

52 grams per meals.

52gX4kcal/g=208.

Personally, I don't eat 208 kcals worth of protein at each meal. I aim for 160-180. I think many bigger guys, who's caloric intake exceeds 3500 or 4000 daily can EASY eat that much protein every couple hours. I eat more that 60 grams of protein right before bed, and nearly that when I wake up.

To answer your question, most people who are serious will eat nearly that much (some even more). I HAVE had my urine and blood tested with no adverse effects. The key is staying very hydrated. All the protein puts stress on the kidneys, and the only way to minimize it is to drink I ton. Hence 1 of the many important reasons to drink water.

thats 2 grams pr. lbs and not 2xbw. :P lol.

I meant to ask don't you washe a lot of the protein away in the urin. it sounds like a lot for the body to process.

I dont know if ther have been any studies on this.

I read a lot of plases that to get good gains, you have to eat 2g-4g protein pr. lbs of BW a day.

i mean how much protin dos i take to build. as far as i know the maximum muscle gain a week is 1lbs.

so if i follow the 4g pr. lbs of BW. i will use 2688g or nearly 6 lbs of protin to build 1lbs of muscle

is that realy nesesary.??????

P.S hope you cane read this im danish so english is my second lang.

hmmm i mean 2g of protein for 1lbs of BW in my case 211lbs of BW = 422g of protein a day.

in 7 days 7*422 = 2954g of protein or close to 6,5 lbs of protein to gain 1lbs of muscle.

if im right. that the maximum gain you cane get is 1lbs of muscle a week.

it sounds like a lot of protein to me. but hey I'm not an expert

Ok barzel, we need to make sure our bodies have enough protein (and other nutrients) available so we don't use up what muscle we have for energy-also when muscles are ready to uptake protein to repair and build new tissue we need an abundant supply onhand. If we knew exactly when that was going to happen, we wouldn't have to choke down chicken breast, meal replacments, dry stinking turkey and stuff. So yea for massing 2grams per
1 lb of body weight is important, but you still have to be taking in enough calories, fat and carbs to support growth.

we need protein for more than gaining muscle. Our skelital tissue, organs AND muscles are always turning themselves over during daily processes.

I'll agree with you on this: protein is highly over emphasized. With a well timed diet and good training, a person can easily gain mass eating 180 grams of protein/day.

It depends. Someone who is 6'4 can probably produce more muscle tissue in a week than someone who is 5'5.

I totally agree - the most basic rule I pass out to people looking for 'what actually works' is to stick with 200g of protein for muscle building, keep the fats healthy and crank the rest up in real food carbs. I've seen bewildered guys cranking protein shakes and dropping mass - and after getting them to swap some of those shakes out for spuds 'n oats with no other changes they've gone from dropping weight to adding muscle.

200's not a magic number but it's good enough so people stop futzin around with trying to be precise with diet and focus where they should - on damn hard lifts!

It's amazing how people keep screwing around with minutiae instead of just LIFTING THE DAMN WEIGHT and getting enough rest!
