Default b-boy's dog log!

well today marks day one of my official offseason! started DC training today and will keep the diet pretty tight now (no more junk food hopefully) goals are to get a lil denser, stay reasonably lean this offseason, and add some mass to the ol legs! now beating the log book will be hard since im trying to stay relatively lean so that means some pretty low carb days, but i will give it my all as i don't like loosing to the log book!
today was chest, triceps, shoulders, backth, backwidth
bench press - 350 for 13 RP
smith machine close grip bench - 315 for 15 RP
free bar military press - 255 for 11rp (really weak at this as i did shoulders friday high volume)
bent rows - 315 for 10 reps then 315 for 8 reps
weighted pullups - bw+25lbs for 12rp (going to take a while to build my strength back up on this as i haven't done pullups in almost a year! should have never stopped).
morning weight was 209
diet today was good med. carb day today! yesterday was a high carb day.
tues. will be off day so will be a low carb day probably about 100-200 carbs.
i am training clean right now, not sure when i will get back on supper supps.
just ordered some x factor today from www.***************.com so hope to have it soon and will try it out! i also ordered some carb powder and liver tabs. next entry will be wednesday. will also get a couple of pics soon.

Awesome bro, I've been debating doing DC for months now but I'm on the fence. Maybe this log will motivate me enough to finally do it.

Sweet... I'll be watching for sure. I'm looking to stay lean while bulking too, which is something I've always sucked at in the past, but I now know it was my carb intake that was killing me so I'm gonna be a low carb bulker.

I'll be interested to see what you think of X factor, I tried it and was not blown away -- not worth the money and it gave me some serious headaches in the beginning; I had to make sure my potassium levels were through the roof, at least 4 grams per day. I drank lots of OJ for the potassium and the extra carbs helped make me fat.

Damn that is some serious weight man. Can't wait to see you bulk up and hit the weights. Does your body currently feel good after all the stress of competing?

yea trick i have just enough water on me to help lube the joints, my elbows hurt just a tad, but that happens every year after getting back to heavy training. i hit my damn knee at work last night on a damn flange and its killing me, i really hope it doesn't hinder my leg workout tomorrow as i really need to blast legs hard this year.

madman thanks for the heads up on x-factor, ive read about it and read a few logs on it and it looks interesting, hopefully i will respond a lil differently than you did on it. o and wise decision on staying leaner, saves you a shit load of work latter on when you have to take all that shit off!

DJ - thats one of the reasons i decided to do this log - to get a lil more action to this part of the board!

b-boy.. have you ever tried 100 rep sets for legs? Platz swore by centuries, and said his legs were nothing special until he started doing them.

You use a weight you can get 70 non stop reps with, then rest pause the last 30...

wed. nov. 29th
biceps, forearms, calves, hamstrings, quads
barbell curls - 145 x 14rp (been having bad pain in my right forearm)
reverse curls - 85 x 19rp (see above note) went higher reps due to pain.
calve raises on leg press - 6pls per side x 8,8,6 six second hold on top and bottom
sumo leg press - 10pls per side x 10,8.... did not do rest pause cause this was the first time performing this excersise so i didn't feel comfortable to do rest pause
hack squats - 7 plates per side x 8 then widow maker set with 4 plates per side for 20. was really happy with this as i haven't done hack squats in about a year as it gives me real bad knee pain, and i come back and do that weight was damn good for me, so this made my day

diet was pretty much protein 2xbodyweight and carbs were around 300 today. i will try and do cardio this morning as this is the hardest part for me right now as i did so much cardio precontest that its really hard to make myself do cardio right now, in fact i said F-it tuesday and didn't do cardio, so i will make myself in the morning.

weight was 207 this morning. a lil light but thats ok, i want to maintain around 210 or so. it will be hard to keep beating the log on hacksquats as that was a hard as eight and my knees now are killing me. but i will try like hell cause i want a few more inches on my legs.

Nice workout b-boy, especially on those hack squats. Is 300g carbs your mid-day?
